That’s awesome, now the Hall of Fame in Canton should be next.

Congrats to the Bacon family. Growing up a Rams fan it was awesome watching the Fearsome Foursome get after it. Only thing keeping them from several Super Bowls was Minnesota having home field advantage. Brutal winters in Minnesota not a good thing for LA :(

Him and his wife were my next door neighbors for a couple years, great family.

Coy Bacon is Canton worthy. He was a genuine superstar in the NFL. Most amazing thing was he got better with age.

After his playing days, Coy could be found at an Ironton basketball or football game. He had no security surrounding him, and he sat among the regular fans. He was truly one of us. Not what you find with today's millionaire athletes who are typically beyond reach!

This is my tribute story to Coy that I wrote right after he passed away. Article has been revised and expanded from what was online a decade ago.
