Eastern Brown 81-39 over Lynchburg-Clay. Bench played 4th, with one starter to run point. Just overmatched. The Warriors got some nice bench minutes, and will help in their tournament prep. This wasn't a run up situation.

I went and checked it out but it was on my phone....the first one I watched 5x and it looked like the official was blocked from the offensive guy catching Peake defender in the nose....the harder clearing immediately the other direction was much higher and out of harm’s way a bit.Peake24 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 9:56 pmDefinitely was out of control. From the beach to the court. One Peake starter was taken to the ER with a lip split wide open from his nose down, and one with a broken nose. I’m sad to see what I saw tonight. If anyone is wondering, check the Facebook Peake sports page stream at 1:17:15/ 1:18:25/ 1:28:35.
2nd one I just couldn’t tell from my phone and 3rd similar. Kids don’t jut go to the hospital and refs don’t typically ignore those.
Sounds like Gallia played super physical...beyond the basketball spectrum, Peake struggled with it a bit and I’ll guess Peake by 20 at Gallia.

From a ref, who does both Ohio and WV any contact with elbow above shoulder is an intentional foul. We lost because we didn't play good it just we have 2 players that got elbowed and right now I don't know how serious it is and when they might be able to play.

Agree Peake didn’t play well, couldn’t finish shots in the 3rd. But when a kid throws one elbow catching a boy in the eye, then pivots back throwing the other one back across and is missed by 3 officials is beyond me. And the same kids threw the elbow that broke the boys nose at the end of the game. I hate to criticize any official who loves the game so much they continue to work thru this pandemic for the kids, but when two kids (one seriously) goes down from a elbow the game needs stopped. The taunting from the floor and bench, players screaming from the bench during foul shots, was just a terrible showing from G Academy.

It’s a bad look. Being a decent upset they must not have been allowed to play that way in the other games.Peake24 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 11:08 pm Agree Peake didn’t play well, couldn’t finish shots in the 3rd. Again...not rooting for or against anyone here but the swing back that was more violent appeared way higher and above defender’s head (if that even makes a difference)....but again, watching on a phone is way different than being at game. Hope both Peake boys make it back soon and well.
Re: Games 1/15
Two Unioto players fighting among themselves during the game I was told. Doesn’t sound like a good situation. Anyone there to give details or confirm?
Re: Games 1/15
Sounds like not much to me. Some kids are likely to be a part of fights. Sometimes just brought up that way. Coach will have to keep it in control.
Re: Games 1/15
We have a grandson who plays for Huntington (JV) and we were told they had to call a timeout to separate them... don't know the extent of it - if it was verbal, shoving or fisticuffs or what.

Player A was probably trying to get with player B’s girl friend or something. They are high school kids, the heat of the moment probably just got to them. They will handle it in the locker room and it will be fine. Hopefully.

Just saw the video of it. No, not good for either player involved. Can’t let emotions get the best of you like that. Hope they get it figured out.

Re: Games 1/15
Will those players get to play tonight?
When did it happen during the game?
Was it actually fist throwing or chest up?
I would be glad today that some kids actually showed that they cared about something other than a video game.

I saw some shoving and probably some words being said. I did not see any punches thrown.

Haha I know, I was just teasing. I got the story and saw the video. Sounds like it’s all handled now.
