Hopefully Athens can rebound. They have 4 district titles and 15 years of 15 or more wins. Athens also has 15 district appearances
Athens was 2-19 the year before I took over. Beat a winless Portsmouth and a winless Groveport. Went 6-15, 9-11, 11-9 my first 3 years, showed a great deal of improvement in each year.

It’s a process, and to have parents and such come on to a public forum and tear down programs and not provide support is productive how?
No one is trying to tear down programs. I just get on here and post facts, and the fact is, Athens will struggle to field a team next year if current coach gets new contract. Hide and watch!
I watched him coach last night during the course of the game and I think he is a pretty good coach. He coached the girls up throughout the game. He was positive and the girls responded well to his coaching. I don't know why you don't like him, but I think y'all ought to step back and give him a chance.

Sometimes it takes a while(years) to turn a program around---you have to have buy in from all---coaches and parents and the players.....

It's interesting, when they lose there's a lot of talk about how the coach is costing them games. Then they win a game and it was all about the girls setting their minds to it.

I noticed that also Ground Buck---- not sure what to think of it??? Its either the coach or the girls--I guess Bulldog84 will need to get rid one or the other.

Bulldog84 had a buddy who didn't get the job. So he'll continue to blame the coach for all the losses and give him no credit for any wins. Now, if his buddy would have gotten the job and anyone was calling for his ouster this early on 84 would be defending him to the hilt and saying it's much to early and he needs to be given more time. :o

Girls just looked out of it tonight, didn’t really seem interested in the game. Thankfully the season is almost over and we can hopefully start next year on the right foot.

Couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the fact that Alexander was simply the superior team?

It’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it, Not real sure why you are so worked up.

Not worked up at all, actually, it’s good to get a gauge as to what type of talent you believe Athens has. To many who follow girls basketball your opinion says a lot.

There is plenty of talent there, we just need to learn how to coach the talent.

Oh yea, well if Bulldog's buddy can somehow get the job he'll show you. He'll come off that porch growling and pommel your your "beloved Marauders" and any one else on Athen's schedule because "there's plenty of talent there..." they "...just need to learn how to coach" it. :o
