What's head to head stats like? Does HUDL show minutes played to review what mlittle said? I know Unioto has more depth. Bennett and Chandler probably avg 30/32

What does POY mean?

Bennett is the most skilled and versatile
Little is the most crafty and clutch
Chandler is the most athletic and stat stuffer on both sides of the ball

I think stats are slightly overrated. PV will have two players that will great stats but I think both are a year away from 1st team.

I would vote Bennett or Co Bennett/Little. These two seem to have the ball in their hands with the game on the line and are 2-0 vs Piketon

So what about the other stats, do they bear out higher for 32 minutes? You only focus on scoring.

Naturally they would be higher. As would Bennett and Chandlers seeing I doubt they play 32 minutes a game.

So how do coaches truly decide? Can't really go by how you place in the league or Basye wouldnt POY. And she clearly is the best player in the league. So what happens if you take Chandler, Bennet and Little off their respective teams? Just a question!

It’s a great question and I really don’t know how the coaches do it. But like I stated earlier. Chandler would have more of a case if his numbers were significantly higher than the other 2. With Bayse her numbers are just so much higher than the rest of the league it’s not a question. Chandler Little and Bennett at least scoring wise are really tight. In that case I think the league record comes into play

looking at svcsportszone, if you take supporting players for each team and remove bennett, little, and chandler, the league rankings would've been:

Adena
Unioto
Paint Valley
Zane Trace
Piketon
Westfall
Southeastern
Huntington

You could make an argument for ZT ahead of Unioto. We beat them by 10 and 12 and Little went for 22 and 31. I’d have to think he’s more than a 10 point swing in those games.

Ahead of Westfall behind ZT

I would say Unioto stays at the Top with how Branson is playing and showing off his skill level.

It’s different being the #1 tho. Not saying he isn’t capable but when you’re not the focus of the defense every night things tend to come a little easier. All 3 of the players mentioned make the game easier for their teammates.

ZT 5-6 in league and PV 4-9....how would taking away 1 star player from the 3 leaders move PV past ZT?

As for the stats....any defensive metrics? Leadership qualities? In years past have the coaches broke down the stats closely or just said so and so should share the POY with another so and so?

From the outside it looks like the SVC has 3 great players....Adena also has Sykes who is very talented....Bennett likely loses some stats due to Sykes (and vice versa but also he helps Adena be atop the league.

Feels like all 3 players could win and are pretty close. I’d be fine if the did a Tri POY or Co POY....doing that would eliminate the potential politics. The co might seem the best considering both are tied for league lead and both beat Piketon 2x....but Chandler doesn’t seem to have the supporting cast.

If I were Piketon Coach I’d push for a Tri, if I’m Adena I’d push for Bennett, if I’m Unioto I’m pushing for Little....if I’m one of the other 5 I’m sitting there pretty quiet and preferring they do a Tri and that my team had one of those players.

I feel like if the league would ever consider a Tri it would’ve happened with Swack, Swingle, and Perdue. Perdue was left out and had arguably the best statistical season in our leagues history.

Fair assessment. I would switch go ZT 3rd and PV 4th.

And maybe they shouldn't make that mistake again like they did with Perdue? My opinion only, which means absolutely nothing. But it surely seems like the argument is there.

With a ridiculous 31 players getting mention will any team(s) get all 5 starters mentioned?
