Coach Cox talked on the radio's call in show that parts of Lawrence County roads are stI'll bad and St. Joe has players that live in the back areas on the team.
Re: New Boston Glenwood Tigers 2020-2021
So New Boston cancelled at the request of St Joe, is that correct?

I'd say more as a respect call for player safety as roads will only get slicker come night fall.

Re: New Boston Glenwood Tigers 2020-2021
100% erroneous.
Some of Lawrence County roads being bad is the only thing Coach Cox said that was true. New Boston’s higher ups cancelled this game, I believe at someone’s request, and it not being St. Joe. Why would some obscure county roads being slick cause an issue for SJ? SJ’s kids, for the most part, are city slickers. US 52 was fine, too. SJ wanting to cancel was a figment of Coach Cox’s imagination. This was 100% on New Boston. All this does is cause SJ to have to reschedule a league game, probably at the expense of another out of league game. With four weeks lost due to two quarantines, SJ already has eliminated two games from the allowed 22 and this will probably cost another.
Doing the right thing is rarely easy.

So basically New Boston didn’t want to play because they have a few starters that are nursing injuries. That’s pretty sad!!!

They already got the high seed and the league wrapped up. Should play a whole game with the bench
Re: New Boston Glenwood Tigers 2020-2021
Who said that the Tigers have a few starters that are nursing injuries? Not true, there is only one and they played Minford without him. It is sad that he is injured.

Re: New Boston Glenwood Tigers 2020-2021
It was safe enough to have their Homecoming ceremony at 2 pm but they were not able to host a game at 6 pm? I could understand this if the weather forecast showed the conditions were going to worsen throughout the day but that wasn't the case on Saturday. Sounds to me like the SOC needs to look into this situation.
Re: New Boston Glenwood Tigers 2020-2021
So if they didn’t play because they were short-handed, then why did they cancel the game? Too many things not adding up A-C-M.

Coach Cox said on the radio there are couple players playing through injuries. I highly doubt that is the reason for the game being rescheduled though. No matter who the coach has been or how bad/good the team is they have always been scrappy.

Re: New Boston Glenwood Tigers 2020-2021
Few things all my opinion of course.
New Boston isn’t quite as good as talked up to be or thought to be. Especially right now with having a starter out. They have no depth. Now with their original starting 5 they can matchup and play with most teams in D4. Having a huge drop when subs come in is going to be the difference. Not Cox or any kids fault, they’re NB and have minimal kids to pick from. They do fantastic for the size of school they have and their coaches are the best motivators in Ohio.
Soc 1 vs soc 2: night and day difference and non comparable lol. As good as New Boston is, they’d be the 5th or 6th team in soc 2 (burg, Waverly, west, minford/valley)
Sexton is as good as advertised, wish him the best and I’m sure he will be successful at whatever he does. I like how he carries himself on and off the court.
Congratulations on back to back soc 1 championships to the NB kids and community!
