I didn't know that bman, I know LE has struggled with rebounding all year it seems. They do shoot a lot of perimeter shots and rarely do I see the shooter follow their shot, and obviously LE lacks size but that hasn't seem to be a problem for them.bman wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 2:54 pmLogan Elm outrebounded MT by around 4-5, but it was 20-8 through the first three quarters. The game was out of hand going into the fourth and there was some substituting. I wasn't too impressed with MT, but I know Unioto will present different challenges. Looking forward to a good game.

Even though Logan Elm may have the more talented team I think Unioto matches up well with them. I think they can defend against Chalfin, Weitelman, and Sailor well so I will give them the edge in those matchups. What I think this game comes down to is controlling the penetration of Ward. He is the best player on the court and can beat you many ways. Unioto can take advantage down low with their size as well on the offensive end. So..I think if Ward is held below 20 I will take Unioto 51-45.

Frankly, they just outhustled Miami Trace to several rebounds and were all over the place. Logan Elm was playing with a high octane motor and Miami Trace felt like it was going through the motions after LE got convincingly ahead. That's why I said I wouldn't draw too much from the results of LE and Unioto against MT.BUCKEYES wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 8:01 amI didn't know that bman, I know LE has struggled with rebounding all year it seems. Logan Elm has done better rebounding the basketball this year. It's still getting out-rebounded against the bigger teams for the most part, but it's not at that 2-1 or 3-1 ratio that it was during last year's regular-season. Very fundamentally sound, strong young men.

No, it’s because Hoops allows his assistant a lot of coaching responsibilities. Which surprises folks around here for some reason.

If Easterday is the reason we beat LE I’m sure Coach Hoops will be oh so distraught.

Never understood why this bothers so many people. I would want a coach that trust his assistant coaches. But to give Easterday all the credit is insane. Never been around coach Easterday but have seen first hand Hoops coach . His ability to motivate and challenge kids and get them to buy in isn’t something you see in all coaches. If anything Unioto has a great one two punch with Coach Hoops & Coach Easterday.danicalifornia wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 10:35 pmNo, it’s because Hoops allows his assistant a lot of coaching responsibilities. Couldn’t agree more. The most successful people in the world surround themselves with talent. People who have issue with it are usually the ones that surround themselves with people who just drag everyone else down.Svcguru wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 12:01 pmNever understood why this bothers so many people. You cats need to lighten up. It was just a little joke.
God forbid anyone tease the U a little.

I believe there is an evil conspiracy to get Hoops overthrown and have Easterday step in to replace him. And I think Easterday is in on it. It’s the only thing that makes sense to why he coaches so hard as an assistant

Looking forward to tomorrow’s contest. Gonna be a lot of great athletes on the court for both teams in this one. Wish the kids could be playing in a packed house but it should still be fun for the kids

21 to 13 Unioto at the half.
Unioto is playing like they want it more. LE looks flat.

Well I got one end of the score right! Unioto kept ward in check, established inside presence, and won the other three matchups. Not surprised by this outcome. Good luck in the finals.svc_guy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 11:49 am Even though Logan Elm may have the more talented team I think Unioto matches up well with them.
