Your posts on WVU are always very informative. Appreciate the insight.
Thank you. And the same to you on your inside knowledge of all things Michigan.

I would like to have seen WVU hire Mike Barwis and his wife Autumn back as the strength and conditioning coaches at WVU. They did a very good job for all of our teams when they were there.

You know it is interesting that no one can calling for Barwis.

He is opening a new business in Plymouth, Michigan, so it looks like he is staying put.

I saw that, BarwisMethods. He is also working for the NY Mets as a consultant.

I still think that he is on to something, in terms of strength and conditioning, that few have used in the football area. Hopefully, WVU's strength and conditioning coach Mike Joseph, will use the Barwis Methods and consult with Mike.

WVU was not going to compete for a national title or even seriously contend for a Big East title with Stewart.

As far as WVU competing for a national title, has anyone besides Don Nehlen been able to accomplish that?

No, but RichRod came close. The only thing that held him and WVU back was the 13-9 choke job on our home field vs Pitt.

I don't disagree with WVU not competing for a national title with Stewart but... they did share the Big East title with UConn this past season.

College football roundtable... Will Bill Stewart's departure derail West Virginia?

After watching some of the players interviewed today, I think it will hurt WVU. After all these players were recruited by Bill Stewart. Some of the players didn't like been kept in the dark on what was going on.

WVU is better off with Stewart out and the HC position now settled.

Hopefully, you won't see us punting on the other team's 30 yard line again. More proof that Stewart had a hard time managing the game.

Although you're right that a lot of these guys loved Stew, the atmosphere around here is already pretty much back to normal. The players are generally somewhat relieved that their is clear direction, even those that were close to Stew. I don't think this hurts WVU at all. The question mark is whether or not Holgorsen is a head coach and will take care of business on that end. Losing the "in-waiting" status is positive for WVU.

The whole situation is a load of crap. AD needed to have some guts and just fire him instead of bringing in the coach in waiting and trying to force Stewart out.
