DII Regional Final: Sheridan (23-1) V. Vinton County (24-1)

The top 2 teams in the SE District will face off this Friday with a trip to Dayton and the OHSAA State final 4 on the line. Both teams come into the Regional Title game with the expectations of advancing. Common opponents of the two are, Tri-Valley and Warren. Both Sheridan and Vinton County beat the tough Warren Warriors by 11 points. (VC at Warren, Sheridan at a neutral site) Both teams have also beaten Tri Valley. Sheridan twice, by a total of 2 points and 11 points. VC by 18 points on a neutral site. This game should come down to who executes their game plan the best. Two evenly matched teams going for a trip to Dayton. If you’re looking for a classic, you may want to watch this one.

I think after having seen both teams play. Sheridan gets the defensive advantage but VC has a better offense. They have more shooters than Sheridan.
It could and should be an exciting game. I'm not prepared to pick a winner though.

That junior class for Sheridan was one of the best biddy teams I ever got to see play, man. Beating other fourth grade teams to the tune of 38-4, 35-2. Well-coached, and played with lots of fun in the process. It's beyond cool to see most of that team intact and reaching great heights at the high school level.

Sheridan's been a girls basketball machine for a while, but I definitely trust the rest of SEOPs this time when they say VC is for real. Gimme' VC by 4.
