I sure miss softball discussions. How much travel softball was played this summer? I agree, I'm ready to see LL and HS ball. Feel so bad for those kids. Saw some area kids I've been following committed to play college ball. That would make a good discussion topic. Where is everyone?

There was plenty of summer ball going on .. Guy in Greenup Go is doing a good job of collecting WV and Ky talent and playing under the name of Phantom Elite . I have a cousin playing with them .

Travel play was limited but kids did get an opportunity to play. Tournaments were played in many locations, where possible social distancing was evident but for the most part no social distancing, no masks by spectators at all. I understand that due to current health regulations, travel ball competition will be very limited in Ohio. Kids are having to play out of state for the next several months. Glad to see several 10u teams in the area are very competitive and playing out of state as well.

I agree Captain, the forum is on life support, I have been reading a great deal of articles on the kids and college commitments. Local newspaper has run several good articles that I thought would spark some interest. COVID has everybody in a different frame of mind, maybe we can get this rolling after the holidays.

Hopefully with basketball winding down, we'll start to get some chatter in here.

Not meaning for this to sound like a negative post but who else is there to talk about? burg is a final four caliber team who should be talked about more then this if you ask me.

Irontons pitcher will shutdown the best. Don’t count the Lady Tigers out all it takes is 1 run to win.

Well look who it is! Shutdown the best? I’m not so sure. The “best” teams usually have plenty of kids who see good pitching year round. How does the rest of Irontons team look? They lost a lot last year.

Not many of the best around here are signing to pitch ( or hit) at the D1 level. So the best around here might need redefined . There are a handful of good hitters but not many handle a rise like that girl throws . Matter of fact Very few .

I might butcher some of these spellings but these girls will start or see a lot of playing time
Preston C, Hughes 3rd, Eller SS, Sturgel 2nd, Eaton at 1st or OF, Howard P, Kennard OF,
Should be a veteran IF, outfield will be young but talented
Good but young starting pitching but no depth
