Four RBI Day For Sean Perkins Seals The Deal In Cambridge Bobcats Varsity's Victory Over Steubenville Catholic Central
Sean Perkins was bad news for opposing pitchers on Monday, driving in four on three hits to lead Cambridge Bobcats Varsity past Steubenville Catholic Central 13-3 on Monday. Perkins drove in runs on a double in the second, a single in the third, and a single in the sixth.
Steubenville Catholic Central scored three runs in the fifth inning, but Cambridge Bobcats Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. The offensive onslaught by Steubenville Catholic Central was led by Barcalow and Dorsey, all driving in runs in the inning.
Cambridge Bobcats Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning, when Kaden Whaley singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.
Cambridge Bobcats Varsity notched four runs in the third inning. Cambridge Bobcats Varsity batters contributing to the big inning included Caleb Bond, Perkins, and Whaley, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Jake Valentine led the Cambridge Bobcats Varsity to victory on the hill. The pitcher allowed six hits and three runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out 13 and walking one. Brock Valentine threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Solema took the loss for Steubenville Catholic Central. The bulldog went three innings, allowing nine runs on 11 hits, striking out three and walking zero.
Cambridge Bobcats Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Perkins, Whaley, Valentine, Bond, and Blake Brumfield all managed multiple hits for Cambridge Bobcats Varsity.
