Summer Shootout on The Hill

Rock Hill High School Boys and Girls Basketball Teams are excited to announce the 2021 “Boys & Girls Summer Basketball Shootout On The Hill”!!

The High Schools Boys and Girls will jointly be hosting a Summer Shootout at Rock Hill from June 18th-20th. There will be a 4 game guarantee each day in a round robin format with the Boys and Girls alternating games utilizing all 3 gyms (elementary, middle and high school).

June 18th will be designated the JV Day while the 19th & 20th will be for Varsity Competition. Cost is $200 Dollars for each day session per team, with discounts for schools who bring multiple teams or come multiple days. (Discounted cost will be $175 per team per day.)

We are looking for 4 teams for each day for a total of 5 teams per day for the boys and 5 teams for the girls which will include Rock Hill teams.

Spectator Admission will $1 per adult and will gain them access to all gyms for the day; Spectator who are High School aged children and younger are free.

Rock Hill 2021 Summer Shoot-out:
JV Boys & Girls – Friday June 18th Starting at 9am
Varsity Boys & Girls – Saturday June 19th Starting at 9am

Price per team = $150.00

Checks can be handed in on the day of the Shoot-out you are competing in.

The Shootout will be held in a round robin format with a maximum of 5 teams per level per group.

Admission is $1.00 per adult; All school age kids are free.

• Each game will consist of 2-15 minute halves with a 2-3 minute halftime.
• Each half will be a running clock until the last minute of each half.
• Each team will get 2ea 30 second timeouts per game.
• Foul shots in the 1st 14 minutes of each half: All shooting fouls will result in 1 free throw. If the free throw is made the team will be awarded 2 points (if free throw is missed no points are awarded) (3 point free throws is the same; 1 shot, if made you get 3 points). All common fouls in the 1st 14 minutes of each half are taken out of bounds.
• Foul Shots in the final minute of each half: Shooting fouls: All free-throws will be shot. Common fouls in the final minute of each half will result in a 1 in 1 bonus.
• Overtime: Any game that ends in a tie will result in a sudden death overtime where first team to score wins. All overtimes will begin with a tip.
