I find it strange how some of these schools never post on OHSAA. It's like their own little island.

Just waiting on the board approval. The pieces are in place selection wise.

Cause half of them have No clue on the hiring process and many times a basketball guy is not on the committee.

With the LOADED young group Ironton has-surprised Barnes Rd. 2 was the choice. Super character guy and good man, just shocked more interest wasn’t expressed in job.

Pendleton must not have a lot of basketball connections. I figured he would lure in a big time hire, maybe from his college days.

His son will be a freshman there, so the move makes sense. Solid addition for ND basketball*
That is huge get for the Titans.

Dariyonne Bryant and Carson Sammons to ND too. wouldn’t be surprised to see more kids come aboard.

Greenup was really, really bad last year so it’s hard to gauge if Sammons will help ND much or not.

Bryant is a very strong pickup.

I’ve heard of 2 others possibly joining ND. Both would be very solid adds. One would immediately be their best player. We will see if it happens, though.

Free agency period has begun in high school basketball!

Agreed...if the one rumor ends up true, I see ND at Regionals (and maybe beyond) next year. Also, their program looking good in SOC1/D4 for the next 4+ years with the freshman class they have coming in.*

How have the transfer rules changed? I thought if a student transferred there was a requirement to sit out the second half of the seson and post season.

There are loopholes, AP classes for instance, and also folks could just move into the district that they are transferring to

Folks won’t make a splashy hire because they come from outside of a community. It’s why basketball here is so far behind the rest of the state when it comes to coaching and why the same 10 coaches win all the time

Might not hurt them as much in basketball. They have other players to help shoulder the load.

Agreed...it just makes them go from clear-cut favorite in D4 to now one of the co-favorites. However, if others leave to, will depend on who the others are.*

Yes
But it has been pretty obvious based on comments by him in the paper and just the way they played that Norm at Valley is a square peg in a round hole. Alot of rumors were that he wouldn't be back and with theses two kids leaving the chance to chase a title is gone, and that's why he went there in the first place, so who knows? And what's really weird is the one parent was on the school board and supposedly was a big reason Valley reached out to Norm.
