A special board meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, at 9:00 a.m. at the Stone Administration Building/Early Learning Center. The purpose of this meeting is to approve the 5 Year Forecast, a Varsity Head Football Coach for the 2021-2022 school year, other Personnel Matters, and one executive session for the purpose of discussing personnel and other matters that are required to be kept confidential by state or federal statute. The public is invited to attend this meeting and all meetings held by the Belpre City Schools Board of Education.

Belpre names new football coach

Jimmie Bell III today was named the new head football coach at Belpre High School.


The unanimous decision was made a special meeting of the board of education this morning.

Bell, of Youngstown, Ohio, played at The Ohio State University under Coach John Cooper and was on the 1997 Rose Bowl championship team. Bell also was on two Big 10 championship teams during his tenure at Ohio State.

Too bad he cant play for the Eagles. The big question is can he build an offense that can score on trimble.

Hopefully, he can change our culture at Belpre and we can do better on the gridiron and elsewhere for all of our athletes.

It'll be okay. Just look how well that NFL guy did at Meigs awhile back and he never coached before they anointed him as HC either. A proven winner is what they say about him in Marauder land.

Had a board meeting on Monday and NO assistants were hired. That means none will be hired untill the middle of June unless they have a specials board meeting. Had a chance to meet the new coach... WOW!! he definately likes himself lol. Numbers are way up so far in weight room. I think his lack of coaching experience and late hire of coaches will make it a long year for th Eagles.

He's one big PR stunt. His buddy has been filming everything he has been doing since he got hired. Its all about him so sad for the kids falling or his sales pitch.
