BURG vs. Sherwood Fairview State Semis

BURG is on a roll. Great all around team. Any thoughts on this game? Don't know much about Fairview but you have to be good to get this far.

No bad teams left. It will be about a dominate pitching performance by the other team. Anything short of this and Burg wins....

From what I can gather, they mirror burg. Have pretty much been dominant against the majority of their opponents. Lost one early to a bigger school

Apaches vs Pirates. At this point it has alot to do with pitching. Very few make it the State Tournament in Softball without having a good pitcher.

Everyone talked about how Ironton's pitcher would be the best Burg seen so far this year and they handled her rather easily.

Pitching is key and Burg has one of the best in Freshman Andi Jo Howard but the Burg's bats have been incredible during this tournament run. This team hardly ever strikes out and they put the ball in play which puts a lot of pressure on the defense. An error or two in an inning plus some key hits could turn into a big inning.

If Burg continues to hit like they have I look for them win. If the bats go cold could be a long day.

Are alot of the girls that won the softball World Series 2 or 3 years ago on this team? I don’t know much about burg or what grade that group would be in.

Nothing online on any of Fairview’s players expect their lead off SS. Pitcher must not play travel ball either. Obviously she must be good though..

I think there are 5 starters from that group, including the freshman pitcher. They are freshman/sophomores now.

Heck of game by both teams!!! Pirates just came up a little short. Great season ladies!!! Hang those heads high. I know you will get to work in the off season to come back to this stage and bring home that State Title. I’m proud of all of you!!
