Sounds like a great guy. Never knew of him, but he surely does get a lot of respect. I always thought Jack O'Rourk (sp) was the GF of VC football. Bolander was similar to what Coach Boston Sr. is/was to NY football, minus the state championship of course. Sorry for your loss. We know how that feels.

Dave was an amazing man. I only met him twice - but he used to have a screen name on here and maybe on JJHuddle?
He loved Viking football. I have the history book he put together on VCHS football. We bonded over our love of history of football in this area. Dave graciously hosted me at his house to share a history of the SEOAL he wrote in college and to share his Viking history.
May his family find peace. Prayers and best wishes to the VC community.
