Barnesville, Beallsville, Paden City and Shenandoah joining Mid-Ohio Valley League
These 4 schools are joining the MOVL. Looks like all schools will join for football in 2022. Thoughts?

Weird that they didn’t add Caldwell. Obvious that PVC was broke up so teams could avoid Fort Frye.

Fort Frye should get NY on the schedule.EasternDspy wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 10:00 am Weird that they didn’t add Caldwell. Obvious that PVC was broke up so teams could avoid Fort Frye.

They had them on the schedule previous 2 years. NY decided to go with Newark Cath bc they had a turf field. The Ultimate Lancer wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 3:15 pmFort Frye should get NY on the schedule.EasternDspy wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 10:00 am Weird that they didn’t add Caldwell. But Trimble has a grass field and they want to play them? I get it's a rivalry and all but I thought they didn't like grass fields.EasternDspy wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 8:22 amThey had them on the schedule previous 2 years. Strange add of Paden City and Beallsville has struggled with enrollment, but both schools strong in girls sports.
Be interesting to see if they schedule the likes of River, Barnesville and Shadyside in football.

As long as nobody in the league gets very good, it should have a long and mediocre run.

That's what happened with the TVC Hocking. For years teams would win it and then get housed in the playoffs, then the next year someone else would win it and either not make the playoffs or if they did they'd get housed too. It was laughed at across the state but the teams took turns feeling good about themselves because they could take turns beating up on the rest. Then Wahama had to go and dominate and and a few cry baby schools forced them out. Now Thimble is doing the same, but they won't leave, so the other schools are dropping like flies. No one wants to get better. Instead they just want to change their schedule so they can win with little effort and feel good about it. Does this seem familiar to you Fart Frye fans?efarns wrote: Tue Jul 06, 2021 12:07 pm As long as nobody in the league gets very good, it should have a long and mediocre run.

From 02-08 Fort Frye got destroyed until they hired the perfect coach. Fort Frye never considered dropping Monroe even though they spanked us every year. Then Shenandoah coach drops Fort Frye saying they are to big for Zeps even though they’ve both been D6 last few years. I hope they play in the playoffs. That coward coach left though.

Trimble just needs to move to the Ohio. That would make the Hocking a near perfect league competition wise. But they won't do it unless the league forces them to. They seem to enjoy getting 6 or 7 shutouts and hanging running clocks on the league opponents. Whatever makes you feel good I guess. I wouldn't mind seeing FF put a running clock on them this year. And throw a long TD pass or two when they're up by 40. Let them know what that feels like. There, I said it.The Ultimate Lancer wrote: Tue Jul 06, 2021 12:58 pmThat's what happened with the TVC Hocking. I hope this works well for all of these schools.
