Name a season when burg had 12 transfers in the span of three years from other high schools. Isn’t that the amount ironton has had? That’s a whole team. Lol

Not complaining. Just stating facts.
The Pirates have had their share of transfers just like Ironton has over the years, CB number is the same the last time I checked, regardless if it was in the last 3 years or the last 6 years that you got them. I’d rather had them starting in Junior High myself, they have more time to learn the system.
[/quote]

Lol. Burg has never had that many come into junior high either, since you didn’t answer my question.

The CB numbers are the same because burg tends to have many students start elementary from just outside of school district. The school is top notch academically as well as a rounded athletic department. The community is pretty well supported. Burg every now and then will get a kid from a nearby school but 99% are there since elementary. Maybe they know how to recruit 5 year olds.

There’s no comparison between elementary open enrollment and kids that started at their previous high school.

Public Schools ‐ Determining Tiers (Single High School Districts)
Ask: “Does the student and at least one parent currently reside within your school district?” If Yes: Enter this student as a Tier 0. ** (Visit www.ohsaa.org for non‐enrolled students) If No, Ask: “Has the student maintained continuous enrollment inside your district
since the start of 7th grade (likely via open enrollment)?”
If Yes: Enter this student as a Tier 1. If No: Enter this student as a Tier 2

From ohsaa competitive balance website. Pre 7th grade is a zero, so if Burg and Irontons competitive balance numbers are 21, what they were last year, they are getting kids starting in jr hi and after.

Mr. Chong lol, just just named three ONLY three kids who moved to Wheelersburg during high school and started on the football team. Not only is it just three players, that’s three players from different graduating classes who came in different years. Yes technically Burg and Ironton have both had transfers but there’s probably going to be at least three transfers on both sides of the ball for Ironton this fall. I guess in burgs case it’s quality over quantity?

So did you speak out against the 3 players who “moved” in to Wheelersburg at the time ? Or since it was only 3 it was ok? 3 is fine but 5 is too many. What is the cutoff of appropriate amount of recruits?

Please help me understand all of this.

I would think when opponents you’ve played for 40-50 years no longer play you because you openly recruited their players it might be time to cut off the recruiting😂

Another Ironton kid spot taken.

Like I said before, easy to coach kids that can play and come in.

I rest my case. Well hopefully the ironton fans can win it this year and feel good about it.

You have read that wrong.

Ask: “Does the student and at least one parent currently reside within your school district?”
If Yes: Enter this student as a Tier 0. ** (Visit www.ohsaa.org for non‐enrolled students)
If No, Ask: “Has the student maintained continuous enrollment inside your district
since the start of 7th grade (likely via open enrollment)?”
If Yes: Enter this student as a Tier 1. If No: Enter this student as a Tier 2

Every year open enrollment students have to re-enroll. If they have been doing that since 7th grade it's 1 no matter if they attended elementary or not.

You’ll see when the Roster comes out or when he takes the field. Beast mode is all I can say.

That’s your answer? Lol

Pretty simple question was he or was he not on the field last year for the tigers. He’s a junior so he had to play somewhere if he’s that good.

I’ll ask again. Was he on the tigers roster last year?

Of course he is.

Is he from the Mississippi pipeline?

Wonder what the young coach could do with just ironton kids and not recruits

Heck I could coach them and win. And I have no idea about football
