Wellston will be competitive. Unfortunately Alexander most likely will not. Will be another fight between them and RV for bottom of the league.

I thought Alex had some good looking athletes at the 7/7 in Jackson Tuesday….of course it was a 7/7 but still. I thought the QB threw a nice ball and kids gettin open to catch it. Again, it was a 7/7……

Coach Carper stepped in to a gold mine. This senior class is what everyone has been waiting for. Coach Bethel has set the platform, and there is no reason why this senior class doesn’t win 7-8 games.

Can they win the TVC Ohio?

the TVC is wide open. No doubt Meigs has the best player. But they have depth issues just like every other team. Nelsonvile has the most depth. Alexander and Wellston will plummet to the bottom. Wellston should fall hard after losing 90 percent of a team and probably the best senior class they ever had. I don't see why VC cant make a run. Their non conference sure is gonna test them.

Well, not only does Meigs have the best offensive player, but also the best offensive mind in their HC. But don't take my word for it, just ask him. I'm sure he'll be glad to tell you. LOL His motto is: "we don't care if we can't stop ya cuz we'll out score ya."

Stopped by a couple practices. Coach Carpo is a definite proven winner in the form of another former coach. Then boys was working hard on the flexbone. I doubt anyone other than maybe Paladin knows how to defend midline option OT inside veer. Vikes go 10-0 with the element of surprise on their side.

It's nice to hear what Jackie O has to say about the state of VC football. Can't believe they didn't beg him to come back, but I'm glad they didn't for the rest of the TVC Ohio.

VC will have the best senior class its had in a long time. I believe somewhere around 14-15 seniors. They should definitely win some games this year. Their non league shouldn’t be that tough other than Trimble. I expect 7-8 win season.

There have been several years that NY would have competed for the SEOAL title if they had stayed. With almost every other school in the league having a lot more boys to pick a team form it wasn't a hard thing to decide when living the SEOAL. Many of NY playoff teams could have been in the top three in the SEOAL or even won it. Even Wellston cut and ran when the grass was greener on the other side of the fence. You can't blame a school for moving on when every other team has the larger numbers year after year. There was a time when Logan was probably the only school in the SEOAL that was growing. I would say over the last 15 years The Logan Hocking school district has become smaller. They still have the numbers over all schools in the SEO area, but when you take the number of boys playing all sports to the number of boys in the top three grades it shows a lot of boys are doing a lot of different things than sports.

NY wouldn't have won many, if any though prolly would have had a few top 3 finishes. But, like Wellston, NY saw a better option. The difference between the two being that Wellston was the armpit of the SEOAL and are now the armpit of the TVC.
