I’m a Portsmouth fan who is in the ovc but I think the SOC 2 takes the edge with burg and waverly, west. Ovc is usually ironton and everyone else. Gallia is usually 2 and fairland, Portsmouth in the mix.

Nah its more like the Big 10 in the early to mid 2000s where Ohio State is dominant and everyone else is bad or average at best. Kirtland represents the SEC.

I'm not so sure I'd jump to say that so quickly. No doubt Ironton is the top dog between the two. And as of week one, 3 good wins. But I'm not sure you really want to compare top to bottoms on a historical basis. Is it really the better conference after one week??

The OVC is greatly improved from what it was last year just by what they did on opening week.
The question is can they build on it this Friday and how will Rock Hill and Chesapeake rebound from Covid.
South Point didn't perform well this past Friday hopefully they will improve Coal Grove played well but still lost by a few scores and GA won but the question there is are they that bad or is Meigs that good.
As far as the SOC Wheelersburg ran into a beast of a team Portsmouth West lost a heart breaker of a game and Valley just looked over matched.
Waverly may be the top dog in the SOC and Minford is a wild card with how they played in their game and Oak Hill lost their game to a tough Wellston team.
Still a long season to be played but the OVC right now looks better on paper
