Waverly by 45.
I second that

Re: Week 2 Waverly vs Johnstown
Wheelersburg just recently played Johnstown in the playoffs. The Johnnies won handily 32-14. That's about all Waverly needs to know right there.
The Johnnies are obviously a well coached disciplined team. Last weeks lost to D2 Licking Heights was a 14-7 game at halftime.
Johnstown might just be as tough as any team on Waverly's schedule. This one may go down to the wire.
Good Luck to Waverly!!

I totally understand changing practice times but I always go back to the Unioto game in 19 when we laid a total egg against a team we beat 9 out of 10 times we play them. Hopefully the coaches are warning the kids of a letdown. I like going later vs in the morning like they did that year.
Re: Week 2 Waverly vs Johnstown
Johnstown is a solid team. Always competitive in DV. as someone else said they beat Burg handily while it took us overtime and 2 pt conversion. Regardless of what they lost and what we did this team needs to be focused and locked in I see no reason why the tigers can’t wait win this game
A Kicker of various balls. Trust The Process

Sometimes sustaining success is harder than achieving success. Waverly will be fine .
Re: Week 2 Waverly vs Johnstown
Johnstown last beat Burg in 2018 and Burg beat them handily in 2017 3 years ago ! You shouldn't compare wins and losses from years past because every high school team is different every yearKicker. wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 11:44 am Johnstown is a solid team. You are 100% correct however you have to take it into consideration. Johnstown is a very good programscott1297 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 8:45 pmJohnstown last beat Burg in 2018 and Burg beat them handily in 2017 3 years ago ! This one should be a really good one. I think this one will be a dogfight with Waverly winning 34-31
Re: Week 2 Waverly vs Johnstown
Johnstown is a good program and will be disciplined and play hard. But Waverly will be too much for them I believe.
Every day is a holiday and every meal is a feast
Re: Week 2 Waverly vs Johnstown
Last possession wins? Just extremely hard to predict based on week one results. How good was Licking Heights? How poor was Miami Trace?
Gut feelings are your guardian angels

This game is still set as a 7:30 kickoff correct? hoping to be able to take this one in person

Yes, 7:30 with Johnstown traveling so far and hopefully cool down a little more…
Re: Week 2 Waverly vs Johnstown
Less than 5 hours away from kickoff.
I think if my Tigers come ready and focused they will win.
They’ve had an additional FULL WEEK of practice with the two starting linemen who missed much of preseason including the two scrimmages so I’m thinking the oline will be even better than last week.
If Wade Futhey has time to spread the ball around I don’t know how Johnstown covers all 5 receivers. I. Any believe they have the athletes to match up.
I think some changes to the defense for this game should help with the Tigers stopping the run.

Glad we’re getting the boys up front back. That should really help in the run game...Adams is a road-grader!smurray wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 2:48 pm Less than 5 hours away from kickoff.
