After quickly looking at the film there are indeed two assists in one goal.

Unioto went up 2-0 early and Chillicothe tied it right before the half. Chillicothe controlled play overall, but it was a very good high school soccer game. Fun to watch 2 good teams go at it this early in the year.

Time once again for my annual post on the subject, but would someone please get West soccer out of SOC II and into SOC I? That game accomplishes nothing for Wheelersburg or West. Not saying anything else about it until around the same time next year.*

Honestly, the SOC is one league where it could work. Would probably have to make it a 2 year window, just as far as scheduling goes, but would likely help some of the schools get away from Burg and SW at least for a couple of seasons.

West had 15 players on the roster at the preview. They list 2 seniors, 2 juniors, 7 sophomores and 4 freshman.

Last year's senior class had a really good team their first two years, but they lost several kids and everything fell apart. That class could've given the program the boost it needed. Some things just don't work out I guess.

West has a new coach again this year. It takes awhile to build any program and stability in the coaching helps.
