No announcement of a sports team shut down. That is what I meant by no sport affected.

I figured that….with 200 there are surely a few football players.teach1coach2 wrote: Mon Aug 30, 2021 10:11 pm No announcement of a sports team shut down. That is what I meant by no sport affected.

Does Jackson Admin allow them to come down ?
God forbid an outbreak.
But play this game and get shutdown here in a few weeks ?
Tough call. That’s why they make the big bucks.

I think this will be much like the game last week very physical and low scoring I would just love to see how LV deals with Winters I feel like he’s bigger than everyone on their roster
I know they’re will be some sore kids the next day
no competition don't gotta compete, I'm already winning this isn't defeat
Re: Licking Valley @ Jackson 7pm week3
Going into the season, I thought that this might be Jackson's toughest game. Ironton has played for the last two D5 state titles, but LV is just two years removed from playing for the D4 title also. It sounds like LV might not quite be of that caliber this season, but they're obviously still VERY good and are one of the most consistent programs in the state.
Jackson will need to win the battle at the LOS and be as physical as they were last week at Ironton to get the win. This is a big game for Jackson. Win this and get back on track before facing an explosive Western Brown offense and then Wheelersburg. Lose this game, and then things could get really tough from a mental/confidence standpoint. I think the Ironmen will respond after last week's heart breaker and get the job done, but it won't be easy.

I don't know much about LV, but kudos to Coach Hall and the Jackson admin for putting together one of the best non-league schedules in the entire area....quite a gauntlet!

I have no clue how tri valley is this year. Gonna be tough changing opponents on such short notice but hopefully we don’t have to change the game plan up too much. Should be motivated to avenge last years playoff loss though

Re: Licking Valley @ Jackson 7pm week3
Tri-Valley is 2-0.
Beat Ashland 35-28 and Licking Heights 35-17.
Down early in both games. Dominated 2nd half in both games.
Last year's team had a lot of seniors playing. Reloaded pretty well. Strength of team is wide receivers. TV will mix in the run but the passing game is the main offense. Defense is more of a bend don't break type this year. Hold them to less points than we can score.
We had planned a 15 minute trip to Zanesville for a brawl with our in county neighbor. I think we would have got our 3rd win in the row. Started playing Zanesville about 9 years ago and TV has won all but 3 of them (twice Z-ville made it to the state final 4). A 3 hour trip will be a shock to the system. Of course Ashland was 2+ hours.
The whole world saw the way Jackson's game ended last week. Your kids have to be hungry to play.

Just don't kick it deep with 1 second left unless you're up by at least 8 and you'll be fine.

Re: Licking Valley @ Jackson 7pm week3
Really hope that Jackson and Licking Valley find a way to schedule future games against each other. Very disappointing that Covid ruined the 2020 and 2021 games.
Re: Licking Valley @ Jackson 7pm week3
Originally two years. At Licking Valley in 2020, then at Jackson this year.
Once the schedule changes happened last year due to Covid, the game didn't happen. Now it didn't happen again this year. Definitely a shame, so hopefully something else can be worked out for the future.
Re: Licking Valley @ Jackson 7pm week3
Yeah I hope they can schedule another 2 year deal and maybe get to play one. This covid is sure making it hard on a lot of teams.
