Is Ironton way down? Or is Fairland way up? Ironton came in and smoked Burg and then had an incredible last second win against Jackson and now Fairland. I'm a burg fan but I'm starting to think Burg is WAY down and everyone else is just OK. I would have loved to see an Ironton at full capacity this year I think they would have been Nasty.

Should be a good ole OVC game. We will see in about a month.frankie wrote: Sat Sep 04, 2021 9:41 amHow do you think the Bluedevils will do against the Tigers? I think it’s both. Ironton is down but they are working with what they got and are doing just fine. But that doesn’t discredit fairland for keeping up with them, they’re most definitely improved from years past.Bdog_198807 wrote: Sat Sep 04, 2021 2:16 pm Is Ironton way down? Or is Fairland way up? Anyone else notice the absence of coach Cunningham from the sideline last night? Maybe Bc of person reasons but I noticed before the game had even started he wasn’t there.

Fairland tackled well in space-which most local teams can’t/don’t versus Ironton.

Do you get to say we're down after saying it's next man up & we don't rebuild we reload?Bdog_198807 wrote: Sat Sep 04, 2021 2:16 pm Is Ironton way down? Or is Fairland way up? GA got beat by point pleasant. Sad thing about how Irontons schedule shapes up now is ya got the showcase game next week and then 5 straight where they are not gonna get much of a fight. Gonna be difficult the rest of the way for them to gauge just how ready they are for week 11. And with a patchwork mistake prone offense and a mistake prone defensive secondary, I'm not sure that's a good thing.GalliaTribe wrote: Sat Sep 04, 2021 2:50 pmShould be a good ole OVC game. I think both teams tackled really well in space.Gator B Long wrote: Sat Sep 04, 2021 5:46 pm Fairland tackled well in space-which most local teams can’t/don’t versus Ironton.

I'm thinking week 4 burg vs week 4 Ironton would be much closer.Bdog_198807 wrote: Sat Sep 04, 2021 2:16 pm Is Ironton way down? Or is Fairland way up? Still can’t believe a OVC team almost beat the mighty Ironton Fighting Tigers. Wow

I agree. Burg, with only having one scrimmage was no way ready to take on Ironton in week 1. Lot of players playing different places now and the offense is clicking.
Re: Ironton 20 Fairland 14 OT 2021
It would be. Ironton is nothing special. Good local team. No different that burg, waverly , Fairland , or Jackson. They’re not the animal they make themselves out to beyabbadabbadoo wrote: Sat Sep 04, 2021 9:57 pmChilli_Dawg_614 wrote: Sat Sep 04, 2021 9:17 pmI'm thinking week 4 burg vs week 4 Ironton would be much closer.Bdog_198807 wrote: Sat Sep 04, 2021 2:16 pm Is Ironton way down? Ironton is 3-0 without their starting qb and top rb/lb out. Their next best rb was out too the Fairland game. Spanked the Burg and won 2 tough games against Jackson and Fairland. Hold the Burg only had one scrimmage excuse please.

Re: Ironton 20 Fairland 14 OT 2021
Burg gave you two fumbles and a pick six. Great job on capitalizing on the turnovers but if burg hangs on to the football. That’s not a spanking. Probably a 28-6 win. Maybe 28-12 if burg kicks a couple of field goals. I think ironton has beat three really good teams at home. But not dominated any of them.frankie wrote: Sun Sep 05, 2021 8:44 am Ironton is 3-0 without their starting qb and top rb/lb out. Their next best rb was out too the Fairland game. You are the master of if this or if that wouldn't of happened. LOL. Ironton wasn't given a pick 6, the Ironton kid made a great play for the interception.wobycat wrote: Sun Sep 05, 2021 9:05 amBurg gave you two fumbles and a pick six. Fumbles happen. Ironton fumbled plus had alot of penalties. In the end, it was a spanking. And without their starting qb & rb/lb.

Do you have to have "a team?"frankie wrote: Sun Sep 05, 2021 8:44 am Ironton is 3-0 without their starting qb and top rb/lb out. Their next best rb was out too the Fairland game. Spanked the Burg and won 2 tough games against Jackson and Fairland. Hold the Burg only had one scrimmage excuse please.

Ironton barely beat an unranked d3 team ( jackson is not in d3 top 25) and couldnt score on them.frankie wrote: Sun Sep 05, 2021 8:44 am Ironton is 3-0 without their starting qb and top rb/lb out. Ironton beat a mediocre d5 team barely ranked in top 10 in d5
And an ovc team that will go nowhere that they could hardly move the ball against
This after saying:
" we don't rebuild we reload."
"Lock the gates."
"Loaded w d1 talent."
"The factory"
And after crying cause people wanted to discuss players NOT returning for "whatever' undisclosed reason, your fan base ran crying to moderators saying these kid(s) have "moved on" "respect the privacy" and at Ironton its always "next man up."
But now, after ya needed overtime to barely squeek by a d6 ovc team thats going nowhere fast, certain absences are listed as excuses. Lmao
I thought it was next man up?
I thought you reloaded not rebuilt?
Which is it?
