Was told by a coach that Warren was missing several players covid related.

Give us two years and we’ll be pretty good in football again. The talent pipeline for basketball is about to get significantly drier.E High wrote: Sat Sep 04, 2021 11:57 pm Warren is a basketball school. Football generally not very good

This season will be a lot like the 2018 season. We have good players, they just happen to be 15 and 16 year old freshmen and sophomores playing in key spots. They’ll have to take their lumps like that team, no doubt about it. It’s very difficult to win consistently when you’re playing with young guys against junior and senior-laden teams. It’s the same process the class of 2021 went through, and they ended up being a very good football team. The talent is there, now it’s about learning to win and adjusting to the high school level.

Warren is young, but so was Morgan. The difference in that game and this game with Williamstown, is the lack of physical play at way to many positions on both sides of the ball. Hopefully their nice guy mentality will transform into the nasty football player mentality along with their time in the weight room.

seems like several SE Ohio schools are very young, heard marietta playing a lot of freshman & sophmores, athens too

Williamstown has 3 sophomore receivers, 3 sophomore linemen, and a sophomore QB. They only have 4 returning varsity starters from last year. To say they are young would be a correct statement.

Warren basketball will always be better. Football has a year or 2 every once in a while. Good luck
