1. Northwest
2. Symmes Valley
3. Beaver Eastern
4. Notre Dame
5. East
6. Green
I can't see any SOC I team staying close with Northwest, but that's why they play the games.*

Re: 2021 SOC1
What all does ND return?? I could see them landing #3 over Eastern. NW and SV will be run away #1 and #2 though. Possible the other 4 teams finish below .500, again not sure how young ND was last year.art_vandelay wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 3:11 pm 1. Northwest

Re: 2021 SOC1
Northwest should win the league but time will tell. East should be better this year as with Notre Dame. Eastern could also surprise this year.
Re: 2021 SOC1
ND is the team I'm curious on what they've returned as I think they were young still I look for them to get better for sure. Eastern lost some talented players, I'm not sure they're equipped to run the spread at this point. I figure it'll still boil down to NW and SV.Tartanblue wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 3:30 pm Northwest should win the league but time will tell. East should be better this year as with Notre Dame. Northwest has to replace 3 starters I believe. They return all the skilled positions. Waiting to see what they decide to do on offense.
Re: 2021 SOC1
Yeah it's really NW to lose and other than SV, because they always seem to make a game if it, I don't believe any other team comes close this upcoming season.BigBlueNation wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 12:40 pm Northwest has to replace 3 starters I believe. Re: 2021 SOC1
Mohawks have some questions to answer, especially who are the assistant coaches gonna be? Heard every assistant but one from last year isn't returning.

Re: 2021 SOC1
DANG, sounds like there's some serious internal issues if that's the case. I don't believe I've heard of an entire group of assistants not returning. Especially with the group they have that will be seniors this year.
Re: 2021 SOC1
The head coach and O-coordinator are back. Last I heard everyone jumped ship.

Re: 2021 SOC1
Well those 2 are buddies so no shocker that Tom stuck around, who knows maybe he's the coach in waiting. If I'm the school board I would have some serious questions as to why everyone else left. Hearing some other rumblings of possible trouble from another SOC1 school as well as Eastern seems to be having quite a few kids not coming back out this year. Hope these teams get it figured out.packers80 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 5:22 pmThe head coach and O-coordinator are back. Last I heard everyone jumped ship.

Hopefully the Mohawks can get healthy and make it a 3 horse race.

Re: 2021 SOC1
Yeah it's been a tough start for the Mohawks from an injury standpoint. There's enough talent on that roster to compete in conference regardless. I think after just a few weeks of play we can probably say
Symmes Valley, Notre Dame and Northwest 1-2-3 in some order but I've been pleasantly surprised with East start to the season yeah weeks 1 and 2 weren't anyone but I didn't see them handing it to Southeastern like that last week. Have they moved themselves up to that 4 spot and Eastern and Green 5-6?

Re: 2021 SOC1
All the talent in the world can't overcome bad coaching.
In years past Bill Crabtree surrounded himself with a good coaching staff. They all quit after last season and it is now 100% the Bill Crabtree show. And as majority of unsuccessful coaches do, he blames the kids. Kids cant "step-up" if they haven't been developed. And not developing players is on the coach. I thought that was the reason Northwest dropping into SOC1, to develop a program. With two of the starters (Campbell and Lintz) being seniors there should be players ready to step into those positions but that's not the case. The 3rd kid, a junior (Butler) went out early last season so we haven't seen him play since his freshman year. I'm sure we will hear Crabtree whine again this week about this starters being out but maybe someone should remind him he has a roster of 42 and ask him why those kids aren't developed and ready to go.

Re: 2021 SOC1
If ND can put together 4 solid quarters up against both SV and Northwest I like their chances this year.
