Game is canceled however, chillicothe canceled on Waverly because of Waverly's high number of students out in quarantine. Both teams still looking for games.

Waverly has no players in quarantine or with Covid. Coaches and players wear masks at school and sit together at lunch. Chilli cancelled without even knowing the entire situation.

100% true. Waverly’s coaching staff has done everything possible to keep their players safe and they preach how important it is to do so. But this will be sending a message to the players that even if you do everything that is asked of you and follow all the rules, it means nothing. Because games can still get canceled without a legit reason, which is bogus. Glad Chillicothe got to avoid a butt whooping, maybe they can find someone to play they might have a chance with.

West has been on remote learning all week but still playing tonight! So it has nothing to do with no school but more about being afraid of your opponent. Everyone knew this was going to start happening with the weaker teams trying to find an out!!!

Please find where any media outlet says that the school has shut down sports. You won’t because it isn’t true. Waverly had a meeting after school with the entire district to discuss the remote learning situation, which in said meeting it was stated that extracurriculars could still go on as long as the teams had no issues internally. And then after said meeting about going remote next week, the coaches left and went to practice for 2 hours. Where it wasn’t until after practice that they got told chilli canceled.
