It was said on Friday during the Football Friday Night post-game show that Vinton was going to remain in a program shutdown and won't hit the field until Tuesday or Wednesday.

VC at home with the win. However it’s totally idiotic to take half the week off practice. Last week would have been the time for a break then a normal game week. I’m not surprised in the least. Let’s hope that this is not the case. Sometimes you wonder if a strong football program might cause a disinterest in basketball.

Not much talk on here about this game at all. Especially from VC who had a lot of pre season hype. I'm not sure about this game, don't know who Athens has played. VC has 2 wins, both teams with losing records. I'd say it will be a td either way.

Athens played Philo and Gallia at home shorthanded without their QB. They ran wildcat formation most of the time.

In week 3, went down to Marietta finally healthy, and outplayed them but lost in OT. Marietta ran the ball 63 times for 355 yds.

Last week, Athens rolled Alexander 41-14 at home.

Athens is a different team when they are healthy.
