Yep. Unioto ran/moved the ball well (nearly 200 yards on the ground), but Piketon’s explosiveness exposed Unioto’s D. What looked like a strength in the early season has turned into a big weakness.

Still some time to get things fixed, thankfully won’t see an offense like what Piketon/Waverly have.

I was very impressed with Piketon offensively and their defense hit very hard. Still have to tighten that up, but that offense is awesome.
Now the big test for Piketon, Paint Valley with that big line and the running attack they have.
Yep. If they win that next week, they will coast to 10-0

After seeing both, I think Piketon is around a 10 point favorite at home though.
Just curious has piketon ever had a 10-0 season? What is the best team piketon has ever had? Piketon is in a tough region.

Piketon hasn't won the SVC since late 90s and that team had 1 loss but made it to the state playoffs first time in school history when it was a 4 team system.

Some guys from the 1964 team might argue that point.

Some of the’70s teams were pretty good.

Thanks for the info. It will be interesting to see if piketon wins out, and who they matchup with come playoff time. Sounds like their offense would be fun to watch.

All correct! Piketon had plenty of tough teams in the 90’s. 97 was the best.

From what I know of Piketon's past I believe you to be correct, outright SVC, top 4 even with 1 loss and went down to the wire with Belaire a team who had been to the state championship game 2 years in a row if memory serves.

Well that tells me a lot. I'm very familiar with Belaire and the Davis Brothers, Jose and Nate who were both great! Both broke nearly all passing records at Kent state, and Ball state, and Nate went on to the NFL. If Piketon went toe to toe with a Belaire team with a Davis at the helm , then Piketon was legit. I watched the 5 overtime Belaire/Versailles state championship in 1995. One of the best state title games I've ever watched.

I was at this game. I still think of it wasn’t raining that game we take that one. We had josh montgomery, 1st team all state at about 12 yards a carry. The muddy field was a big factor that night
