2021 Piketon 43 - 20 Paint Valley
Should be a dandy of a game this Friday in the glowing village. Lot of football left, but the winner should be in the drivers seat for the SVC! Lets go Streaks!

Re: Week 6 Paint Valley (3-2) (2-0) @ Piketon 5-0) (2-0)
I like Piketon again this week. Simply just too much offense.
PV has a chance if they can slow them down like ZT.
Not calling for a blowout, I'll take the Streaks by 7 @ home.

This will be the biggest game Gullion has had at Piketon IMO!
If Piketon can limit the turnovers they should win, but if they loose the turnover battle Paint Valley will get this one.Paint Valley has some bruisers up front and at running back, but with Estep not at Qb the passing game will be very minimal.
Piketon 34-28

Some pretty good comments above, agree with most of them. PV needs to establish their running game and eat up the clock with 6 or 7 minute drives that result in a score. The more snaps Gullion gets the more points Piketon will score. A forty something to forty something final probably doesn't bode well for PV, I think this will be a one score spread.

Whether or not PV can eat up the clock should decide this game. Its the best way to stop Piketons offense from racking up points. These teams make an interesting matchup should be one of the best games for the week.Bumpy wrote: Sun Sep 19, 2021 2:32 pm Some pretty good comments above, agree with most of them. Your best defense against Piketon is your offense. PV will have to establish long drives and eat up clock to win this one. Getting into a shootout with Piketon will not end well for PV. Piketon wins this one by 10 and cruises to a 10-0 record.

If paint valley was at full strength I think they could win this but I think Piketon wins by 13.5
A Kicker of various balls. Trust The Process

The win at Unioto gave Piketon its 300th. First season for Piketon was in 1958. First win was over Valley that season. In 1962, Piketon, Paint Valley, Laurelville and Logan Elm formed the Scioto Valley Conference.

I don't believe any starters are out ( except for Eli Mannion) who we lost week 1 for the year. The reference may be for Dom Chambers & Cole Miller, both are probably not 100% but I am sure they will be ready to go Friday and will leave it all on the field.

Thanks. I was hoping that everyone but Mannion was back. I knew he was gone for the season.Bumpy wrote: Sun Sep 19, 2021 8:21 pmI don't believe any starters are out ( except for Eli Mannion) who we lost week 1 for the year. Piketon by as many as they want. I’m not sure the number but it seems Piketon is averaging less than 2:00 per offensive possession and only punted once this year. Piketon CRUISES

Looking ahead just a little bit. Any chance Piketon makes some noise in the playoffs? Not sure who is in their region.

Man this is a tough one for me here, Piketon's defense while many say is improved is still giving up the run at an alarming rate. ZT really took it to them and if they could've limited the penalties early on who knows what happens. PV is very big up front and possesses that type of running game that can make it hard on any team. I can see this game really going either way Piketon has a ton of weapons and can score at anytime but this could be a game where they might see the ball 5 times which means they have to play perfect. On the flip side PV hasn't to play mistake free stay in front of the sticks and can't fall behind early. Going with PV by 7 but hoping Piketon is able to pull it out.

I’ll take Piketon but paint valley is tough. If Piketon wins this game I think it locks a home playoff game because rest of the schedule looks pretty easy.

Region 19 there are a lot of good teams, Ridgewood, ironton, wheelersburg, harvest prep, Portsmouth. It’s a pretty good region.MadeInRossCounty wrote: Mon Sep 20, 2021 8:55 am Looking ahead just a little bit. Any chance Piketon makes some noise in the playoffs? Not sure who is in their region.

Think they can make some noise? Win a game or two? I know the SVC is down this year but a 10-0, gold ball, SVC champ, bounced first playoff game would not look good.Beergogglebluez wrote: Mon Sep 20, 2021 9:13 amRegion 19 there are a lot of good teams, Ridgewood, ironton, wheelersburg, harvest prep, Portsmouth. Think they could play with Burg or Ironton?
