Piketon not playing this week probably actually helped them. It was a winless team so no 2nd level points and their Level 2 divisor went down by 10.SciotoCfootball wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 2:37 pmI agree I would rather play Piketon than Ridgewood, Ironton, Prep, or Portsmouth. Piketon will win out but I wonder if missing a game yesterday will hurt their points, cause if Ridgewood wins out they would likely take the #1 seed. That Ridgewood vs Garaway week 10 is going to be big.

Guess I just assumed playing less games would hurt teams but you're right.CFB1 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 3:36 pmPiketon not playing this week probably actually helped them. Minford is looking like a home game contender. They keep playing like they are and they can crack the top 8. Quite a bit of height and some players have good size. They're beating West 28-14 with 1:40 left in 3rd. Minford ball.

Didn't list 9-16 cause I expect those to change quite a bit over the next three weeks but it currently goes:SciotoCfootball wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 2:35 pm As of now per Eitel:

Re: Region 19
This region is still ran through the Tigers until someone shows they can beat them. Harvest prep could be the team this year or even Ridgewood. If Tingle is healthy that offense is tough to defend and could be hard to contain.

Week 1 will be rough to watch for most games lol but there's some solid teams in this region. I think we'll have some interesting matchups in week 2.

I’m surprised Piketon stayed 1 after not playing a game and Portsmouth drops a spot even with playing a bad team. I assume it’s 16 teams because of covid and the OHSAA needs to make up money. I’m shocked it wasn’t all teams.

Not playing that game actually helped Piketon, they were playing a bad team. They're ahead by two points over Ridgewood. Minford is helping their points as well since Piketon beat them early in the season. Falcons could end up 7-2 if they beat Waverly.Beergogglebluez wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 7:48 pm I’m surprised Piketon stayed 1 after not playing a game and Portsmouth drops a spot even with playing a bad team. It’s unreal isn’t it. If there were still 8 teams I think you’d get some good first round games. 1-8 our region is pretty tough all the way through.

Yeah yikes just for some perspective. Ridgewood beat the #16 seed right now (Coshocton) 51-0 in week one. Going to be some massive blowouts in week 11 but certainly not just in this region.

Re: Region 19
Just say if everything stays about like it is and Northwest would sneak in the 15 or 16 seed. If we would draw say Piketon they are great team and probably beat us by 4 or 5 tds or more. But physically their probably not going to dominate us. If we would draw say Ironton, Burg or some of the higher seeded teams. They are not only going to beat us on the score board, they will physically dominate us with all the kids we have out. With playing a bunch of young kids that are definitely not ready for it.
Not trying to make any kind of excuse it is what it is.
It's like us being in SOC 1 we have no business being there.
We all pretty much know why the change to 16 teams is all about money.

Portsmouth will drop some now with their loss. A win against Ironton gives them a home playoff game, but if they lose then they're up against three teams for a home game.. Amanda-Clearcreek, Col. Academy, and Minford.

Re: Region 19
After checking Clearcreek should win out so a 7-3 Trojans team would be seeded behind them. At 7-3 Portsmouth is out of the top 6. They could secure 7 or 8 seed depending how things play out with Col. Academy, Minford, and maybe West. Academy could lose to Whitehall week 10 and Minford could lose next week to Waverly. Only way West could sneak into top 8 is by walking out of Burg with a W. Hopefully none of this matters and Trojans finish the regular season 8-2!!SciotoCfootball wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 11:04 pm Portsmouth will drop some now with their loss. I know it was his first game back but they barely escaped with a win last night against Indian valley
