Heard this morning that the turf was being dropped off at the school this morning. Does anyone know if you have to wait to play on it for so long? Hopeful they could get to play one game on it against Oak Hill this year. Not making any excuses, but not having any home games this year could affect some play.

If they got the turf today. I'm going to say won't be able to have any games this year on it. Still going to be alot of work. The only way I can see if they had 2 crews to work around the clock on it.

They said earlier this year they would work continuously to get it installed after it arrived. Whether that was true, or still on the table I do not know.

I do remember when Valley got their turf, it wasn't done until about 2 hours before their game against Piketon. So it could happen

Good to hear about the turf. Does anyone know if West is removing the huge crown on the field? I would think it would be unnecessary now. I always hated only being able to see the players on the far side of the field from the waist up.

Yes, the crown is gone.

I think that it all has been graded, shouldn't be any more hump. It took many truck loads to get it right.

Now only if the track was gone! I look for a close game this week. West has a pretty good team, I believe better than what I saw last Saturday. One thing for sure Valley has improved as the season has gone on and will give it their all. Valley 24 West 20

West needs to get over the hump at Valley. West has never really played well in that stadium and that continued last week against Minford when they got behind and stayed behind all game.

Matchups on the outside this week are much more favorable for West as Waverly and Minford had huge height advantages on the outside. West has good coverage corners, it’s just difficult to cover skilled receivers with a 6 to 8 inch height advantage.

Last week West had the ball inside Minford 30 - 5 times in the first half and didn’t score. That can’t happen this week. Gotta finish drives, stay close or in the lead, and allow the physical run game to be a factor. Down a couple scores in the 2nd half Half West couldn’t be as committed to the run as need be after running for about 150 yards in the first half

Would love to see Sissel lined up in different spots. Set him in motion and give him the sweep, some short passes to get him in space, or atleast have two backs there. The one back set is just so predictable. He does great on straight dives, I really feel like those little differences would make a drastic difference. Right now this offense isn't set to score quick. It's not a bad offense, it's just methodical and persistent. Big breakaways have been few and far between, and they are great momentum grabbers.

After game was tied at 14
West scored 30 unanswered points and had about 500 yards of offense.
Great response after the Minford game

Asking Valley posters that watched tonight's game, and watched West the week before against Minford. I want some outsiders perspective. Do you think Minford is that much better or do you think it was a bad game?
