Fairland vs Coal Grove 10/15/21
What’s gonna happen this coming Friday? Grove ground and pound against the Dragons D-line. Might be a good test for the Dragons. Nah……. Should be a physical matchup

Most physical game of the year. This game should be week 10, these schools really dislike each other.Dragon551990 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 8:11 pm What’s gonna happen this coming Friday? Nothing fairland can’t handle, dragons comfortably win by 3 scores.
Re: Fairland vs Coal Grove 10/15/21
Coal Grove is a very average team this year at best, Fairland by 3-4 scores.

Where is this game? I’ve seen schedules where the game is home and one where it is away?

At Coal Grove, Fairland only had 2 home games this year. Was supposed to have three. Covid cancel and they went to Columbus South to play.Dragonsbreath12 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 8:49 am Where is this game? I’ve seen schedules where the game is home and one where it is away?

Sad for those seniors and kids. I’m sure they don’t mind playing on the road though. Fairland travels very well.
I’d really like to see them throw together the funds to build a new stadium but who knows if that will ever happen. If a lot of these other school in southern Ohio are capable you know Proctorville/Rome is more than capable.

Honestly I think the stadium is fine. They’ve now coined it “The Concrete Palace” and it’s definitely got a ring to it lol. Now the field is a different story. I’d like to see fairland get a nice brand new turf field. They definitely deserve it for how well the program has been built up the past few years.Dragonsbreath12 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 7:46 pm Sad for those seniors and kids. It will take a community effort. That will be a difficult task .. not impossible but extremely difficult. Not sure the price tag on something like a new turf field/track….. with all of the football and soccer games that are played each year on it there is no chance for the field to stay in decent shape. If anyone know any winning lottery numbers please pass them along as this would be the quickest and easiest way for this to happen.

The game being at the Grove might help somewhat, I'm not really sure that the Hornets have enough talent this year to be able to beat the Dragons.

I like sitting in fairlands stands probably better than anywhere else honestly. You get such a good view of the game. I agree though. As much as it’s used now with middle school thru highschool a new playing surface would help out a lot.
Re: Fairland vs Coal Grove 10/15/21
Last year Fairland won 27-21 in the regular season and 27-12 in the playoffs. They always play Coal Grove tough. Speaking of Fairlands stadium, I wish they had more visitors seating. I know it’s kinda hard to expand due to the trailer park behind the visitors side. And I wish we had more visitors seating at Coal Grove.
