Junior High Football Season 2021

Post by greygoose »

How are the seasons going for teams?? I've heard where there's been teams having to cancel and some teams in quarantine making it tough to get games in. Do the Junior High teams have any outlets to find makeup games like the HS does or is it just word of mouth for them??

SOC II looks down overall other than Burg 8th who is stacked with big roster and athletes all over the field. Pretty weak league after that. Haven’t seen Portsmouth Jr. High but heard good things. Jackson 7 and 8 seem average for their standards. Ironton 8 is decent but lack size. Don’t know much about SOC 1 teams this year.

Best 7th grade team I’ve seen is Ironton. Burg 7th also has some solid athletes but not much size.*

Anybody have any OVC records? I’ve seen Coal Grove beat Galia they had a couple nice players.

Just like the high school, South Points Junior High football team isn’t very good either. They pretty much get slaughtered every game.

Jackson 8th grade looks good, they have some size. There line is big and have some big backs and reicevers
