I went to one of their playoff games at Zanesville and the pa announcer kept saying johnstown instead of just Northridge. The fans were not too happy.

They are. I have always called them Johnstown Northridge

And their fans hate it. As stated, their rival is Johnstown and they want nothing to do with that name. Northridge, though the mailing address is Johnstown, is not actually located in Johnstown. The high school is not named “Johnstown Northridge”; it is Northridge High School. The state has always listed a location, like “Beverly Fort Frye” to identify teams, but you would never say that you went to Beverly Fort Frye High School or BFFHS.
