Re: WK 12: THE BURG @ THE WOOD
This game will be low scoring as mentioned, Burg's D is good and I also expect Burg to try and control the clock to keep Tingle and his offense off the field. Wouldn't shock me at all to see this game come down to Sammons and his leg. Will never forget his clutch kick two years ago against Ashland.. believe it was a 41 yd kick as a sophomore.
Re: WK 12: THE BURG @ THE WOOD
Lower scoring favors Burg I think, but Wood did manage to win a couple low scoring games this year against good teams. (Dalton and Indian Valley) The games when the offense struggled was when Tingle was out or the Wood turned the ball over a bunch and had multiple penalties that killed drives. I expect this game to be the same. The team that has less mistakes and turnovers will win.
Re: WK 12: THE BURG @ THE WOOD
We’ll probably start out with the defensive game plan from the Waverly game but Tingle is night and day a better runner than Waverly’s QB so we’ll have to adjust early. Offensively we can NOT turn the ball over or see the bad snaps from last week…and please don’t run that toss play anymore

I agree. I think Burg will be the best team Ridgewood has played this season. Only way I can see Burg losing this game would be having 2 or more turnovers.wobycat wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 4:57 pmI agree with your assessment. I also think that burg will give ridgewood oline fits with their d line. I believe that’s where garaway won the game. Tingle is good for leading for 2 scores. If burg can take care of the ball, I can see them leaving with a win.Giorgio Tsoukalous wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 1:29 pm Burg 24 Wood 14
I watched the replay of wood/ready last night, and I think the wood defensive line will struggle vs burg. I believe burg will effectively run the ball on Ridgewood. Good luck to the Burg!

Re: WK 12: THE BURG @ THE WOOD
It’s game day! And I honestly don’t know how this one will end up. It’s painfully obvious that the Achilles heel to this Wood team is the line on both sides of the ball. Both lines must match the physicality of Burg or it could be a long night. Wood played well last week bouncing back after losing a heartbreaker to rival Garaway in the final seconds. I was wondering how they would respond and like always, Slusser made sure his team was ready. I think he will have them ready tonight too. Will Tingle have time to work his magic one last time in front of the home crowd in Lafayette vs our “playoff rival”? All of us in WL sure hope so.

I think Dusty Salyers is calling plays now.
That 4th down call was horrible
