This is usually played in the Athens area. I’m sure this will be one of the lower attendance regional finals in Ohio so wouldn’t be surprised if at NY and not Logan

I think Wheelersburg gets another gut-check win this week. I have seen more athletic teams, bigger teams, and faster teams at Burg, but man does this Wheelersburg team play hard, tough nosed football. Their staff prepares them so well. Since that Jackson loss, Wheelersburg has found a their identity. Might be one of the grittier teams that Wheelersburg has ever had that I have seen. Since Rob Woodward took the head coaching position, Wheelersburg is:

122-31
7 League losses since 2008 (3 to Valley, 2 to Portsmouth West, 1 to Minford, and 1 to Waverly)
8 SOC2 Championships
26-12 in the playoffs
6 Regional Championship Appearances
3 Regional Championships
1 State Championship

Rob Woodward took Wheelersburg’s already high standard and made it even higher.

Will there be a stream for this game?

Who knows?? They should let Burg's HS media do it. They do a great job filming and announcing the game. They show replays and do a fine job

Interesting game. Wheelersburg will need to shorten the game by keeping Harvest Prep offense off the field. Harvest is not long drive type of team so keeping the offence off the field will benefit the Burg. The Pirates have been here before and got wins-Harvest though having success has not been this far in the tourney much. I can see Harvest Prep winning big but also can see Wheelersburg winning this game. I think this game is Harvest Preps to lose.
I think you have to jump out early on Harvest and put them on their heals and continue to put the pressure on them if The Burg is to win this game.

Wheelersburg is 44-30 all time in the playoffs.

18-18 before Woodward.

Just got the word its in Waverly like was said above.

Burg should be on the home side with taking over the one seed. Nice facility with plenty of seating and parking.

Burg has never lost a playoff game there. Beat Sciotoville East there in the 90's and Zane Trace in 2015.

I believe Wheelersburg will be given the home side simply because Prep might bring 100 and I believe OHSAA knows that and chose Waverly because of it.

Also - List of Teams in the SouthEast District who have won more than 26 playoff games in their all time history.

Ironton

That’s the list.

Waverly is a great venue for this game, nice facilities and plenty of parking. I just watched the Jackson/Western Brown game at Waverly Friday night and it was easy to get in and out, and all parking was close to the stadium. Much better venue than Chillicothe or Nelsonville-York in my opinion. I'll definitely be going to this one! Good luck to the Burg!

I think the point he is making is that Rob Woodward has more playoff wins in 14 years as head coach than every SE District school has in their entire history, save Ironton.
