Man they just started practicing so way to early to tell, basically just have to go off of the 7th grade teams and how they did. Burg, Jackson and Minford will have teams towards the top of the list for sure.

From what I've heard, Valley 7th grade was on another level in their biddy ball years compared to other SOC schools. Need some kids to get a little taller. Not sure how they will translate as a team in jr. high, but have had a good group last year.

Miami Trace has a very talented 8th grade team, great guard play to go with some pretty athletic bigs. Their post player is 6'2" i believe, younger brother of 6'8" Junior Drew Guthrie.

I believe Jackson beat MT by 20 last year when they were in 7th grade.

Webster’s 8th this year is pretty good if everyone showed up. Hunter Barnard is the truth

Jackson is by far the best Jr high team I saw last year in the FAC or anywhere else.

Yeah and they will be again this year they are a legit 5-6 very good players across the board, can win both inside and out going to be a tough team for sure

For Scioto County 8th grade teams: Burg (undefeated in 7th last year), Webster, Minford, and Valley are all solid. Also hear Portsmouth should be pretty good as well.*

SW 7th - gonna be a long year...
SW 8th - man they are GOOD. Trounced West tonight. 7-8 deep. Hunter Barnard is the truth. The whole team is selfless and will be phenomenal in high school if they don’t transfer to NB or something

I made the trip to WCH tonight to check out this Ironman 8th grade squad.

Jackson 7th defeated WCH by 40 I think. 55-15 or something close to that. WCH 7th very very bad. 1 or 2 average players.

Jackson 8th is losing 10-9 at half to WCH. To this point Jackson 8th does not look like a top SE Ohio 8th grade team. They could be missing some players, WCH 8th is not great either.

Jackson Started 2nd half on a 7-0 run, came out in a press and forced some turnovers. 16-10 Jackson, Timeout WCH

Ironman pressure is too much for WCH, should’ve started the game with a press, Jackson up 29-15 after 3

Both teams pulled starters, 37-19 Ironman with 2min remaining. #10 and #0 for Jackson are excellent ball players. #0 reminds me of Winters. Just a big, physical, athletic kid. Will be very good for Jackson at the HS level. They had a couple other decent players to compliment those 2. WCH has a few decent players, a couple with some good size, they will probably be a middle of the pack FAC team. Glad to get out and see some Jr High FAC teams play.

Who is having the best year this year? Not a lot of chatter at the JH level.
