Johnny Manziel - Cotton Bowl
Manziel breaks the bowl record for rushing yards by a quarterback and leads a dominating effort vs Oklahoma

Manziel is unreal. Kid is a phenomenal athlete. Texas A&M should be a force to be reckoned with next season. Manziel is only gonna get better. One would have to think that some pre season title talk would include A&M along with Bama and OSU

He's a great talent, 2 things for some perspective though.
1) when was the last time a Kevin Sumlin QB didn't have huge stats?
2) He's not a freshman, he'll start his junior academic year this week.

Re: Johnny Manziel - Cotton Bowl
I think Manziel is just a special player regardless. Keenum had big numbers at Houston but mainly as a passer. Manziel has been impressive running and throwing the ball both and I think he would be great whether he's playing for sumlin, Meyer, Kelley or any coach running a spread offense. Manziel puts up numbers against top defenses in the country. Kennum did against the CUSA.
Although technically a sophomore going to be junior, he stil came in to this season with no game experience. Whether he stays 1 more year or 3 is his choice because the eligibility is there

NO DOUBT A SUPER TALENTED YOUNGUN, VERY GOOD INSTINCTS, GREAT POCKET AWARENESS, VERY DANGEROUS ON THE RUN, AND A VERY ACURATE ARM.AND A FIERY COMPETITOR, HE DOES HOWEVER LET THE BALL GET WAY AWAY FROM HIS BODY IN THE OPEN FIELD. THAT IS A HABIT THAT NEEDS BROKEN, IT WILL COST HIM IN THE FUTURE IF NOT CORRECTED.

I might get jumped on for saying this but I CANT STAND THIS KID... I think he just played out of his mind this year... And imo is going to be a huge bust... he is going to all these dinners hanging out with all these celebs and who knows what else putting himself in the spotlight and all these other kids in the SEC are watching this and will light him up next year.... Mark my words you wont hear anything out of Johnny Football next year... And I will as go as far to say the NCAA will be hanging out at Texas AM if he keeps flashing his high bank roll at casinos... TO THE BANK!!!! and P.S there is no way this kid will play in the NFL

Sumlin is a great coach, no doubt. However, Manziel carved up the SEC this year in ways than Cam or Tebow never did. Manziel is one of the most instinctive QBs I've ever seen. So fun to watch.seofan_via_dublin wrote:He's a great talent, 2 things for some perspective though.

I can totally understand were your coming from, the expectations people will have for him are gonna go through the roof , I think he'll put up some more impressive numbers but it'll be hard to do the same thing he did this year. Yeah I can also see the NCAA wondering how he is doing these extra activities, sitting front court at nba games and the other things he is doing.
But he is a special player and I see Texas A&M in that title conversation for next season
Re: Johnny Manziel - Cotton Bowl
Manziel is a quality player and will improve, but he looks as good as he does because A&M was loaded with talent. They were one of the best teams last season with Tannehill, but always blew it in the fourth. Sumlin was the difference maker, not Manziel. I believe at least one of the lineman said he is returning next season which will be a big boost for the Aggies, and with the speedy WR draft class they have coming in it looks like they are a solid contender for the national championship.

I agree with the part about the NCAAA breathing down their necks. He's not being very smart off the field.

Next year might see A&M & OSU in the title game, A&M's schedule is soft save for a very early matchup with Bama and a late date with LSU.

No Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, or Tennessee from the east on the schedule.

LSU is getting murdered by their juniors right now. I don't think I've ever seen this many guys leave.seofan_via_dublin wrote:Next year might see A&M & OSU in the title game, A&M's schedule is soft save for a very early matchup with Bama and a late date with LSU.

But I agree...SEC will have 3 top five teams to start next season. A&M is one of them.
