With ND being independent and having no conference to win, no conference championship game to play in, how in the he11 could they ever get into a 4 team playoff???? After last night's loss I dont see how they would ever let them in.

Embarrassing! Te'o is the biggest bust in a bowl game ever. He wiffed on so many tackles because he didnt want to get hit. If he cant shed blocks from a college line, how will he ever make it in the NFL!

Notre dame will always get the media love deserving or non deserving. Anytime ND puts together a unbeaten season or probably a 1 loss season (depending the rest of the team outcome) I would not be surprised at all to see ND in the playoff because its ND.

And for what it's worth, OSU got the a$$ plum beat off off of them by Florida by nearly the same score in the BCS title game and the following season played for the BCS title again and lost at that. I dont necessarily think the future can be based off a bad performance. Setting at home for well over a month before you play doesn't help either IMO. I know times have changed some since then and the system is heading in a new direction but up until last year OSU was in the same setup by not playing a conference title game until the conference change last season.

I do agree at some point it may push ND hand to join a conference for the extra benefit of the conference title game but I don't expect it to be anytime soon with ND arrogance and the wealth of the university.

I do agree as well that Teo was way overhyped be espn. He's a great player no doubt, but they made him out to be an unstoppable machine that could do no wrong. Plus they played out the story about his loved ones passing, no disrespect at all towards him or his family, but alot of these kids come from lives that have seen alot of bad things and experienced more than any one kid should have too.

some people said ND has a weal schedule. there is no team on their schedule that other major colleges do not play BUT bama has three teams on their schedule that a major college team shouldn't play.

Kind of glad the Buckeyes were bowl ineligible. Only major college team undefeated!

I consider them to be the #1 team no matter what the BCS crap says. I SOOOOOO hope Urban beats the SEC next season and ends all this garbage of being an "SEC fan" come bowl season. It was amazing how fast all the people jumped back on the Bama bandwagon they had just jumped off of a few months ago when they lost to A&M.
