The Marrietta game was a blowout and Athens didn't play well (1-11 from deep for the bulldogs), Derrick Welsh had a double-double 18pts,11Rb. (https://www.maxpreps.com/games/11-27-20 ... &schoolid=)

Athens will need time to grow together and become a team. Athens will need to improve 3 point shooting or it going to be a long season with a very difficult schedule.

Gallia is coming off of a Win over Meigs 60-49.

Did GAHS play both of the bigs - Clary/Loveday - at the same time? high/low? double post on the blocks? how do they use their bigs? or do they NOT have them in at the same time? Has the perimeter scoring improved from last season? THAT was a difference maker to me - the Blue Devils need perimeter scoring to go with the bigs down low - do they have it this year? - inquiring minds want to know ...
