... Great lineup of games !!! love seeing schools going to the sponsoring of these in-season hoops all day events again !!! Well done Coach Jeff Skinner !!! Just penciled myself in the Cheap Seats at the Alley for this one ! The T-shirts should be worth the price of the admission - throw in Lou Horvath on the PA - hoops HAS IN FACT returned in SEOhio !!!

Wheelersburg, Fairland, Waverly, Trimble, Warren, Fed Hock, Alexander representing the SEO basketball world East of Rte 23 ... throw in some "foreign teams" from WVa and a couple outta the SE District quality teams in Newark and Caldwell - a GREAT ALLLLLL Day Hoops Day in the Alley event ! bring $$$ buy food, buy the T-shirt !!! let's rock the Alley in Alexander before the holidays - I'm there in the Cheap Seats all day (thanks Fran for the invite) - watch some great hoops, talk hoops, put faces with SEOPS names ! join me in the Cheap Seats - hope to see you there !!! ... they beat Zanesville by 28 Saturday night - not sure what Zanesville has though - they've been way down of late...

Newark is very solid this year.

4-0 with wins over Westerville Central, Walnut Ridge, Pickerington Central, and Zanesville. The Pickerington Central win is huge. 270hoops has Pickerington Central as the #2 team in their list of Columbus DIV 1 teams.

Newark is led by 5'9" G Grant Burkholder, who had 22 points against Pickerington Central. Super talented undersized guard who will actually put you in the mindset of Tre Robertson. Watching those two go at it will be worth the price of admission.

Newark also has a 6'3" Sophomore Steele Meister who scored 18 points against Pickerington Central. Meister is a silky smooth lefty who can finish at the rim and hit from the outside. Burkholder and Meister combined for 40 of the teams 47 points.

Newark is notoriously a well coached program (Coach Quackenbush) and will be a great test for the Waverly Tigers.
