Athens (1-3) @ Jackson (1-0) Saturday Night

Athens heads to Jackson on Saturday night to meet up with the Ironman.

Athens is coming off their first win of the season, a home victory over Circleville. Athens was led by Landon Wheatley who scored 13 points. Derrick Welsh had a double-double of 12 points/12 rebounds and 3 steals. Luke Brandes added 10 points.

Jackson opened up their season with a 56-32 road win over Miami Trace. The Ironman are playing back-to-back games this weekend as they have a home league game on Friday vs McClain.

Without great depth and a fight with McClain the night before may have some legs issues but just from watching the one game….Jackson should win.

I think this may end up a game where Jackson is able to sprinkle in players 8-9 maybe 10 throughout the 2nd half. I just don't feel that Athens is as good or as disciplined with their sets as teams in the past.
