That is great news. From What I have heard Trimble was willing to play week 5 but FF already had a game and Trimble has a league game week 6. So I hope this game gets played week 2 next year and we get to see this rivalry for many years to come.

I hope this is true. The Cats get nothing out of naming the score against Miller with the JV beating up on Miller's varsity. Trimble will play anyone, anywhere anytime. They fear no one. So put FF back on the schedule. Heck they could lose the first 5 games and still make the playoffs but they'll be more tested than they would by playing teams like Miller.

I somewhat agree. But I don't really want to see another asswhippen handed out by Fart frye. It's more fun to beat up on Miller than get beat up on by FF. But I do agree they should find someone else. Just hate to see it be a sure loss for the Cats though. Maybe contact Crooksville. I think the Cats could put one on them again next year.

It's time for the cats to beef up their schedule. A TVC hocking championship is guaranteed about 9 out if 10 years. Look at N.C. , they always play a tough schedule. Then go into playoffs at 6-4, 7-3 etc and still win the region. So play someone who gets you ready for playoffs and will expose your weaknesses so you can fix things be like and compete for a regional ship every year. Instead of those weaknesses getting exposed when it's already to late and you ate bounced from the playoffs.
If Fort Frye is open week 2 like Trimble is now then why not sign the game? It will make both programs better.

Heck all I read on here from Thimble people after they cancelled on VC due to Covid that the they "would have beaten the brakes off of VC." So you can't now come back and make it like they are going to be a tough opponent. Can't have it both ways people.

I'd say it's 3 to 1 that they "duck" them. Trimble loves to beat up on the bad teams in the area but don't take too kindly to getting theirs handed to them.

It will be interesting to see what Phat Phil from Walnut Hill does with this. My heart wants me to think that he realizes it's time to step up and play the toughest schedule possible to prepare the young Tomcats for post season success. But my gut tells me he'll stick to his old ways of staying within their comfort zone and look for someone they can practice in shorts and helmets for 30 minutes a day that week and still name the score against them.

Word on the street is someone from Trimble contacted the Fed to see if they could get them in week 2. Must not be wanting to step up and play the Fort I guess.

Interesting dilemma for Trimble. With what NY has coming back they should be favored over Trimble in game one. So, do they want to take a chance on being 0-2 right out of the gate? Or do they want to pick up someone they should beat in week 2 to avoid the 0-2 start? With what I saw of their schedule, if they start out 0-2 they could end up being 0-5. Of course they should win the Hocking and end up 5-5 if that schedule is correct. But if by some prayer Waterford could muster up enough to beat them they could end up 4-6. How long has it been since Phil has had a losing record? So, this decision could be life altering for the foreseeable future of the program.
