I would throw 10 on Wellston.

What is your Vegas odds for the TVC Hocking?
Fed Hock is looking great right now. Trimble is doing what everyone expected.

After seeing Trimble play Waterford last night without Bryce Downs even playing yet (injury). I'd say 1:10 odds on the Cats. have to bet $10 just to win $1.

Fed Hock, Waterford probably 10:1 with South Gallia not far behind at 12:1.

Howie still has to play at Waterford, Fed, and Southern. He's not well liked at any of those places, so...

At Fed is the only game that may be in question. At Waterford could be challenging, but if Tomcats were 11 points better WITHOUT Bryce, what are they with him? At Southern is no concern, at South Gallia on the other hand could be. Very tough place to play in Crown City.

Yes there is usually some very creative officiating going on down at SG. Waterford has been known to bring in a few ringers to officiate the important games as well. There are a few places in the Hocking that it's never a given that the best team will win on the road, to say the least.

* Updated after Saturday Dec. 18th games

TVC-OHIO
Wellston (5-2),(2-0)
Vinton County (3-3),(2-0)
Alexander (4-4),(2-1)
Meigs (4-3),(2-1)
Nelsonville-York (3-3),(1-2)
Athens (1-6),(0-2)
River Valley (1-6),(0-3)

TVC-HOCKING
Trimble (5-0),(3-0)
Federal Hocking (4-3),(2-0)
South Gallia (3-1),(1-0)
Waterford (5-1),(2-1)
Southern (4-3),(0-2)
Belpre (1-6),(0-2)
Eastern (0-7),(0-3)

Heading into Christmas break things are becoming a little clearer in the TVC-Hocking, while the Ohio Division remains a jumbled mess with anyone’s guess who might claim the 2021/2022 league title. The Trimble Tomcats had a monster week after knocking off previously unbeaten Waterford 70-59, and then defeating 5-0 Caldwell 65-51 Saturday at the Alley Classic. The ‘Cats also handled Eastern on Friday and will take a perfect (5-0),(3-0) record into their game at South Gallia (3-1) this Tuesday. Federal Hocking will put its perfect league record on the line in a pivotal match-up Tuesday versus Waterford.

The Wellston Golden Rockets improved to 5-0 with star junior Cyan Ervin back in the lineup after beating Nelsonville-York and Belpre last week. Wellston (5-2),(2-0) next two league games include River Valley and Athens, which could very well keep the Rockets atop the standings heading into the 2022 portion of the schedule. Alexander (4-4),(2-1) picked up the biggest win of the week by knocking off Meigs 67-56 in Rock Springs Friday night. The Spartans remain just 1 game back of the leaders Vinton County and Wellston.

Great Breakdown. Thanks for putting it together. Parity is the word in TVC Ohio. Vinton County is the favorite in my opinion.

The River Valley/Wellston score is shocking. Last place team in the Ohio beating the first place team on the road. The Ohio Division is just crazy.

Fed Hock over Waterford was a great game in Stewart.

Fed Hock 12 12 15 16 - 55
Waterford 12 15 10 16 - 53

Lancer sophomore Tariq Cottrill drained three 3's in the 4th quarter, six total in the game and led all scorers with 24.
Wildcat sophomore Jarrett Armstrong nailed three 3's in the 4th as well, 5 total and finished with 21.

Game was tied at 12 apiece after the first. Waterford took a 27-24 lead into the locker room at half. Fed outscored the 'cats 15-10 in the 3rd and led 39-37. Both teams scored 16 in the fourth and final frame.

Wellston jumped to an early 10-0 lead in the first. RV struggled to get shots. Rhodes and Lambert both hit 3's. Wellston led 13-6 after 1st. RV cut the lead to 22-21 at the half. After 3 quarters RV took a 35-32 lead. I believe they scored the first 7 points of the 4th to go up 42-32. Wellston cut that to 43-39 around the 4 minuted mark. Lambert hit a clutch 3 to make it a 3 possession game again. RV converted 5-6 FT's down the stretch to put the game away.
RV was led in scoring by Lambert 21, Alderman 15 and Rhodes 13. Wellston was led by Ervin with 15 and G Brown with 14.

RV. 6 15 14 16 - 51
W 13 9 10 11 - 43

Looking at the records going into tonights games RV had played 1 opponent with a losing record.
