Same reason portsmouth is struggling this year too ,been without two key starters from last year in drew roe and Amari Johnson ,hard to lose starters like the 3 of these ,Hopefully Clark comes back but we already know we won't get ours back at all for basketball Hopefully they will be back for baseball

LE travels to Waverly to take on Col. Bishop Ready Thursday at the SOCS Wireless Waverly Classic @ 2pm ... the Braves are 7-2 in the 2021 portion of the season so far !!!

Made the short drive over from Vincent to Belpre but my time at the game may have been shorter after I left at the half . The whole team shot lights out for SW tonight in the first half and Eli Roberts was as advertised and that #2 is a nice ball player. I saw a guy from SW live streaming the game, do you have the the link swanker? Wouldn't mind seeing that off the backboard 2 minutes in to the game dunk again.

#2 is Sr. Trae Zimmerman. Prolific scorer when he’s not dishing assists to everyone. Future SW hall of famer if we had one. Believe he had around 22 tonight. I was sitting a few rows up from whoever was streaming idk who it is though. I told the Swanker posse Roberts would have three dunks tonight and he got two in the first 2 minutes of the game and I think he went for 16-18 tonight. Great game for the Jeeps tonight on both ends of the floor. I gotta say Bender has improved dramatically from last season from being a liability on the court to the guy whose getting 5 steals a game off the bench. If he was 6’0 he’d be deadly

Portsmouth fell behind 20-12 after 1 quarter at Wheelersburg, then outscored the Pirates 44-24 the rest of the way en route to a 56-44 win. The win snapped a 4 game winning streak by WHS vs. PHS. The Trojans lead the overall series 24-21 and have gone 12-5 under Coach Eugene Collins. PHS is one of the very few teams that lead the series on the Pirates.

The Trojans' defense won this game......it was a complete reversal from the Minford game, when they allowed 94 points to the Falcons. Coach Collins employed a tight, pressing, trapping defense that bottled up the Pirates offense the final 3 quarters. Dariyonne Bryant, Donovan Carr, Devin Lattimore, and Kenny Sanderlin all scored double figures for PHS. Eli Swords had a very good game for the Pirates with 22 points.

Congratulations to our Trojan players and coaches!! Always good to get a win vs. the Burg, especially at their gym. Daryionne Bryant ended the game with a slam dunk at the buzzer.

Just maybe this can start the team in the right direction after losing 5 in a row. Portsmouth is very capable of playing some good basketball and showed it last night.
