Gallia Academy New Coach….

I thought I read somewhere that GA hired a new coach in Kole Carter ? Is that correct ?

I don’t remember where I read that nor can I find the article again where I read it.

Anyone know of some more detailed and actual facts to this ??

It is true. He was hired last night. Penrod was non renewed last week they moved Carter in the next week. He has two years of coaching experience.

I have been hearing his name mentioned since back during the season.

Whoever is the next GA coach, I want him to succeed, because the more of our area teams that are having success, the better it is for everybody in the region.

Gallia literally ran off the man who rebuilt the program from 2 wins in the two seasons before he arrived, made the playoffs, won a conference championship for a 24 year old who has no head coaching experience and barely any football coaching experience to begin with.

Make it make sense.

His Dad, Larry, is the principal at Southwestern Elementary. Larry does a nice job.

I heard the big Lineman is moving to Ironton after basketball season, anyone else hear this?

If what I heard is correct the powers that be never wanted Penrod to be the coach in the first place. When the job came open the last time, they actually chose a different candidate for the job, but that person ended up turning down the job over money. Now they give the job to a young man whose only experience is two years as an assistant to the person they didn't want to be the coach to begin with??? This move makes no sense.

Why on earth would Penrod be non renewed. My thing is, when you read the article Penrod did a great job at Gallia. Why would he be non-renewed. Southeastern Ohio good ole boy politics. That man was Blue and White all the way through. Would have loved to see him coach my nephew at Logan instead of who is there now. Gallia let go of a good one! Penrod come home to LOGAN!
