Seems like a lot more smaller schools at the top of the rankings than years past, including two in the top 8, which is normally unheard of.

Who above them would you put them over? All games count and they are moving up.

They lost a few games to Covid and the Flu so they’ve only played 11. Lost a couple games they shouldn’t have with their best player hurt. Quality wins at Fairland before Thomas transferred, Wheelersburg before Clark got hurt, South Webster, and South Point. Very competitive with Waverly. Lost last second against SV on a terrible no call. Top 15 in the area

I don't know, but I imagine the two DIV district championship games could be awesome. Are they at the Waverly downtown arena again?

... the "little guys" as you called them are some of the BEST of BEST this year in the SE District ... I've seen in-person 13 of the top 15 teams in my rankings (Sheridan/Fairfield) ... 18 of my top 20 ... 22 of my top 25 (New Lex a couple times on video) ... 26 of my top 30 (Portsmouth West) ... 28 of my top 35 (Meigs video / Portsmouth on video ... not Paint Valley) ... 33 of my top 40 ... in that group are A LOT of "little guys" ... I've had to stretch my travel to make sure I have gotten to see teams west of Rte 23 ... get to the SOC2 teams and OVC teams which ARE holders of the best we have in SEO this season ... some of our usual quality teams ARE still quality teams - Logan Elm, Warren, Unioto, FU, Sheridan - the outstanding coaches that lead these teams are doing some of the BEST coaching of their careers with overall less talent ... lesser coaches would have far less W's on their schedules ... overall some outstanding TEAMS out there! outstanding individual players as well ... WE always look at "what's left" after the graduation of some of the outstanding teams we've had in SEO, WE wonder who is going to be the next up, we are seeing it ... WE just have to get out there to see the TEAMS, the PLAYERS ... I feel good about the rankings especially after trying to do the Covid Season last year when I saw 2 games in-person ... I've hit the road to as many in-season tourneys as I could get to SO I COULD SEE as many teams as I could all in the same place ... let them come to me so to speak ... It's learning the teams, the players, the coaches all over again - but it will pay dividends doing the "PRE_SEASON" rankings for the 2022-23 season ... none of the guess work ... it's been great meeting up with the fans, the players families, seopsters, coaches once again - I've ALWAYS said that the best part about doing what I do is making the acquaintances with the PEOPLE in SEOhio , the SE District ...

... West started the season @ #20 then lost to Eastern Pike by 15 , dropped to #29 , lost 2 of 3 Oak Hill and Symmes Valley dropped to #34 ... L to Valley by 33 pts ... stayed at #34 ... W @ Fairland (a star beside that road W) went to #32 ... L to Waverly W by 15 over SW moved to #27 didn't play due to covid or other issues remained at #27 beat South Point who had lost 4 games in a row, a South Point team that has 1 win over a SEO team (Rock Hill) since Dec 17 (Ironton) ... West is currently at #26 (6-5 on the season) ... NOW!!! the Senators - full strength now, no issues ... they will be taking on 1/25 vs Oak Hill , 1/26 @ South Webster (Rd 2 already with a W over the Jeeps (a star beside that W) 1/28 @ Wheelersburg, 1/29 @ Minford ... BIG WEEK!!! obviously W's over some of these teams helps to move the Westsiders in the right direction ...

... I have not ...I watched the hudl stream of Warren @ Athens but I haven't seen Athens in person this season... Logan beat AHS by +13 Friday night in a game that was slowed down by AHS (a quote by Logan's HC)... Logan is trending the wrong way, they play that mix of SEO teams and others - Parkersburg Souths, Canal Winchesters etc. ... we will see what happens this week as Logan goes to Washington CH on Tuesday ... see how they fair vs a top 15 CH team ... I was hoping that the game on Tuesday with Sheridan would have been played (I had that one on my travel itinerary to go see at Sheridan) THAT would have told us more about Logan ... Logan plays @ Wash CH Tues/@ Watkins Memorial Friday, @ Fairfield Union , vs Parkersburg HS, vs Warren, vs Chillicothe, vs Jackson ( I hope they make up the Sheridan game) to close out the regular season ...
