Waverly at South Webster Tuesday 01/25
Waverly at South Webster Tuesday 01/25
May as well get this one started.
Waverly coming off a HUGE win at home last night over Minford and a 66-27 win over OaK Hill tonight.
South Webster riding high with their win over Valley last night. The Jeeps also beat Minford earlier in the season.
The Tigers handled the Jeeps easily at home early in the season but this is a much improved and dangerous South Webster ball club.
With Waverly’s win over Minford and the Jeeps win over Valley, Waverly holds a 2 game lead over the Falcons and Indians.
That’s a good place to be but the Tigers cannot afford to make the trip to South Webster taking the Jeeps lightly.
Waverly must be totally focused and on a mission to finish this thing out and take no team prisoner.

Whatever the out come,
I’m just thankful this is the last time we have to play Trey Robertson. He’s been a cold blooded Jeep killer his entire career.
Jeeps by 5.

I personally believe the Jeeps have a very good chance in this ball game versus Waverly. The Jeep's have improved in the second half of the season. They're getting some nice bench play and seem to be more focused and are definitely playing more team basketball than before. Waverly comes in the favorite but I think personally they will have to play their best ball game against South Webster this time around. If their field goal percentage stays up and turnovers down like they did against Valley they very possibly could win this ball game. I do wish the Jeeps luck.

Re: Waverly at South Webster Tuesday 01/25
The first game we jumped all over the Jeeps, they panicked, and it got ugly. I don’t see that happening at their place, especially with some of the wins now on their resume. I think it’s a battle with the Tigers pulling away late at the free-throw line…62-53.
Re: Waverly at South Webster Tuesday 01/25
Waverly playing pretty good ball right now with some hard fought wins with senior experience and leadership. They do have that advantage but the Jeeps are playing well and it’s at South Webster.
Re: Waverly at South Webster Tuesday 01/25
I definitely can see a closer game tomorrow than in the first meeting. SW is playing some good ball right now and will be a tough team to face come D4 tourney time, but I think the Tigers are too much to handle. Hard fought game, but taking Waverly by about 10-12 points
Re: Waverly at South Webster Tuesday 01/25
Webster actually hasn't been playing the best ball -- they dropped 2 of 3 before they faced Valley (lost to West and Burg both by double digits).
But the win over Valley is a MASSIVE win, so hopefully that was what they needed as they head into a very tough week against Waverly - West - and Minford in a 4 day span. Brutal stretch! Luckily all games look to be at home.

Waverly by 20. Robertson and Gang are just too much for the Jeeps. Waverly has the advantage in every category in this one.

I’ll take Waverly by 10, but it’ll come down to free throws. However I think Webster will have a tough time with Waverly tonight, west tomorrow night and minford Friday. Will we determine who will probably win the conference this week?

Truthfully we’ll have to hope we can get a couple cheap fouls on Robertson really fast and put him on the bench AND THEN run that press that we run and get some baskets off steals. We’re capable of it

Yea but is Valley really that good?bbjunky81 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 8:18 am Webster actually hasn't been playing the best ball -- they dropped 2 of 3 before they faced Valley (lost to West and Burg both by double digits).
