Re: Top 5 Players in the SE District
I have to put the Montgomery kid from minford in the mix and the clary kid from Gallia. Both make their team go from average to really good.
Re: Top 5 Players in the SE District
If I had a starting 5, Clary would be in it.
Had Holbert, Sailee and Branson in consideration

There is zero chance I can’t have Coulter in the top 5
No one is quicker, great shooter, incredible finisher, great passer and the biggest thief of the basketball I’ve seen in the SE district since Bringham Waginger

Re: Top 5 Players in the SE District
I’ve watched a lot of basketball over the last 35 years…..I’ve never seen a kid just flat out take the ball and go. I watched Caleb Wallis rob teams blind of the ball with incredible anticipation and instinct of passes and dribble patters….Reico just says I’m taking it 7x a game and no one is running him down.
Wallis is probably the best comparison I can think of….not the strength of Humpty but that level of quickness. Robertson a better range of shooting but there are a lot of similarities.
I not only can’t have Coulter outside my top 5, he’s not going outside my top 3.

Re: Top 5 Players in the SE District
Trimble has the superior team obviously so a better suit of players to guard D’Augustino….and Alexander less ability to guard Guffey
Both are tremendous players as you already know

Trimble played man to man all game with #4 Tucker Dixon sticking to Kyler.

Both made my top 5 regardless
Re: Top 5 Players in the SE District
Kyler is a great player but he forced for the majority of this game. Took a bunch of contested 2s. Only open shots he got were when Trimble tried 1-3-1 seemed like. I think if he would have got his teammates involved a little more early he may have gotten more open looks in the second half. Again no ill will toward the kid. Just seemed like a tough game for him. Hes been great since he was a Freshman!!

I totally agree with Sallee getting some love. He might be the quietest 20ppg scorer I’ve seen in awhile. Tough, strong, decent athlete, and surprisingly versatile (dunks, post up game & 3pointers). Coach Maddox has a good one in Sallee.
