What division is Colonel Crawford?
Trimble beat them in the playoffs in football a few years back. They are a small school.

Division III, they haven't lost a regular season game since 2019-20 season. (Play a relatively soft schedule) Have a talented guard duo that are seniors, Carter Valentine (committed to Ashland) and Mason Studer.93Bulldog wrote: Sun Feb 06, 2022 7:34 pm What division is Colonel Crawford?

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week 10
... goes to show the coaches base everything on records instead of knowing the teams & strength of schedule they have played ... imo the TVC Hocking isn't very strong THIS year - Trimble/Fed Hock/ Waterford ... Trimble has beaten Waterford x2, Fed Hock has beaten Waterford x2 ... Fed Hock & Trimble won't meet for the 1st time until this Friday ... Western & Symmes Valley are the only teams in the SOC1 THIS season similar situation- W's about every night out ... Fairfield plays the better schedule of ALL of them ...
I would have seeded Fairfield either #3 or #4 in the D4 seeding ...

I'm just mad Southern won a league game, which bumped Eastern down to last. Totally ruined my argument to get the Eagles off the end table.

Nothing against the men from Symmes Valley but ive seen South Point, Portsmouth and Ironton all play along with the Vikings and I really don't think the kids from Symmes Valley could stay with any of those 3 teams.

I also saw Western play Ironton St Joe and it was a complete domination from the start. The St Joe coach pulled his starters in the 2nd quarter and put in his JVs and you can imagine how the the score ballooned in Western's favor. There was a running clock in the 2nd half and the Western coach didn't pull his starters until about 4 minutes left in the game. Hard to tell anything about a team in a game like this.

... corrected the Bulldog's record - thank you ...
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week 10
Symmes Valley beat them pretty good in a scrimmage I heard lol. 2-0 vs the OVC both on the road.RiverRatRay wrote: Mon Feb 07, 2022 6:32 am Nothing against the men from Symmes Valley but ive seen South Point, Portsmouth and Ironton all play along with the Vikings and I really don't think the kids from Symmes Valley could stay with any of those 3 teams.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week 10
Looks fair! I am at a disadvantage because I am way out west in the district, but I can attest to Fairfield geting some love. Eastern Brown does have 5 losses, 2 losses was during the injury plagued/illness run at the beginning of the season. The loss to Mason County (KY) was just an awesome effort on the road to lose by 6. A loss to fairland by 2 at home is a black eye on the record. The loss to a good Norwayne team over the weekend was an anomaly. You do everything to get a team tournament ready physically and mentally, but man, a week featuring MAson County and Hillsboro back to back, and then go 200 miles to play Norwayne...that is brutal. Fairfield can cause some noise...solid well coached team. The SHAC D4 teams like Whiteoak, and Fayetteville(in southwest), are not going to be easy outs. What is going to be nuts is Eastern Brown having a potential 2nd round matchup with North Adams in the tournament. They have already played twice, and nobody likes seeing a team the third time. It is going to be interesting all over!

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week 10
Pfloyd is heading to Fairfield Union for the FU vs Logan Elm game tonight ... has the potential to be a Sectional final game on 2/26 ... other matchups on this "Off Night" include:
Chillicothe vs Jackson
Chesapeake vs South Webster
Fairland vs Rock Hill
Nelsonville York vs Athens
North Adams vs Fairfield Leesburg
Oak Hill vs Lucasville Valley
Northwest vs Eastern Pike
... great lineup of games on the normal boys side "off night" ...

Home court advantage has been worth way more points this year than ever. That year off from it mattering is back with a vengeance, IMO.
